NBC has bought the rights to an untitled supernatural police procedural series from writer John Stephens (The O.C.), Variety reported. The show, produced by Warner Brothers Television, involves a team of regular cops dedicated to busting vampires, zombies and other criminal demons.

Special Unit 2 was initially on UPN, I believe, though Sci-Fi reran it.

DF: Anyone have their dvds yet? Looks as though we're not getting the 2 hour "Storm Front" after all.
Mine is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I've heard from a couple folk on Butcher Board that the 2-hour Storm Front is not on it. I wonder if Skiffy is holding that back to use as a movie if they need to fill a two-hour space sometime. Or maybe they just jettisoned it.
Also on Butcher Board, Robert Hewitt said he'd give us the backstory on Bob and Winifred sometime. I hope he does.
