Whatever happened to the still beating heart of a virgin? No one has any standards anymore.

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

The Doctor did make a passing reference to Rose before they got back into the TARDIS, leaving Martha a bit left out, as she stated to Tallulah earlier .

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"The House of If" by, if I remember right, Barry B. Longyear. I think it was in the collection It Came From Schenectady.

Could be. I know I read It Came From Schenectady, but I thought the story I was thinking of wsa in one of those "Best SF of [whatever year]" longer ago than that. I can't find a description anywhere that will confirm it for me. It all takes place during a TV talk show?

Art Crawl!!!

Found this at TWOP - Robert Hewitt Wolfe posted at Sciffy and the Butcher boards:

Ah well. That's television. I wish we'd been given another season, because I think we were starting to really find our feet. But alas, tis not to be.

So thanks one last time to the cast, the crew, my fellow writers, and all our talented directors. We gave it our best.

Also thanks to everyone who watched. Thanks for your faith and thanks for those 12 hours of your lives. We're glad you liked the show. We wish we could have given you more.

And thanks of course to Jim. Thanks for trusting Hans, David and me to bring your amazing character to life. Sorry we couldn't make it last a little longer, but we know the books will continue to rock for years to come.

All my best to everyone.

Robert Wolfe

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that was confusing. I wasn't sure if I should highlight or not because it might be unaired stuff.

Dr. Who, Evolution: Anyway, I don't guess I understand a) the whole struggling with the fraught Dalek situation and b) emergency time-shifting.

Either they're universally dangerous as have been presented in the past, and a perpetual threat that should be dealt with as soon as possible, or they're sweet redeemable confused woobifyable enemies that merely need to be allowed to express their humanity. First season we saw Rose feeling sympathetic, and ultimately not allowing the last Dalek to die, right? Resulting in much chaos and death. Now we've got four, okay, three plus a hybrid, okay, one again, and we're not going to take every bit of action we can?

Hmph.

Must be missing something. Possibly overextending the metaphor.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think the meta of "OMG! This is the last Dalek—if we kill it, where will future 2-parters come from?!?" overrode any common sensical approach to the story there Liese. I don't think the Doctor would allow pity to stay his hand knowing how many people lose their lives whenever the Daleks make a bid for conquest.
