Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Oh and in a different and highly spoilery (for BSG) article the Futoncritic also says:

Sam J. Jones as a guest star on the Channel's new series Flash Gordon. Jones played the title character in Mike Hodges' 1980 film, Flash Gordon.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I've been watching season 1 of Doctor Who with a friend. We just finished off the season the other night, and when the Doctor regenerates as Tennant, my friend got all mad. I had to reassure her that the Tenth Doctor is pretty great too, but it's true that he's no Nine. She was slightly mollified when I told her that we would be seeing Captain Jack again, and on his own show no less.

Also, (spoilery for DW ep 3.11) it was surprisingly difficult to watch Rose and the Doctor leaving Jack behind in the Game Station, after learning that the Doctor knew Jack was alive when he left. I had always assumed he hadn't left Jack behind intentionally, but now that we know that he *knew*, it's so awful to watch him just leave, without a second thought. Oof.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

not only that, Kate, but the look on Jack's face when he realizes they've left him behind? gah. it broke my heart back then, but knowing what we know now it really broke me. poor Jack.

I really hope now that he knows what happened to him, he'll be much more Jack-like on TW this season.

No, but I won't miss the teeth. Whenever CE gave his full smile he looked like he could consume half the state of Texas. It was scary.

Exactly, tiggy. That look of disbelief and betrayal -- it's so terrible. And the Doctor just goes merrily on his way. Now I'm thinking about when they first met Jack, in "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances", and Rose had to remind the Doctor to save Jack from exploding when the bomb was set to go off. I hadn't really picked up on the Doctor's reluctance before, but it's clear on rewatch that he has some very mixed feelings about Jack -- which makes Jack's hero-worship of him all the sadder.

(And I share your hope for Torchwood season 2!)

Whenever CE gave his full smile he looked like he could consume half the state of Texas.

See, and I loved his crazy huge smile. It made him look just a little bit dangerous, even at his happiest & most innocuous.
