Whoish news from Outpost Gallifrey - a site that is chockful of spoilers:
The Park Entertainment/Jetix series of 26 half-hour K9 Adventures episodes is said to be currently in pre-production with a targeted delivery date of July 2008.

The BBC has confirmed that spin-off series The Sarah Jane Adventures will be broadcast this autumn.
A press office story about the rebranding of CBBC says that the show will be part of the autumn season.
A precise date for when The Sarah Jane Adventures will start is yet to be given. The series will comprise five two-part stories.
The new look for CBBC, designed to attract a wider audience of children aged six to 12, will be unveiled at the end of the summer.

Could they be setting it up for Abby to take Beverly's job when her plotting is uncovered? It seems a bit early for Henry to have uncovered Bev's duplicity, but then again, with an agenda of his own maybe he'll keep that information supressed for a while. So many ways that could go.

I think that they are setting that up, but it's complete bullshit. The amount of background checks that she would have to go through to be Eureka's shrink are enormous. They will probably handwave and say that they did the background checks when Jack got hired, but that will annoy me and piss me off. Plus, I don't like her.

What Vortex said. I'm completely unsympathetic to Abby right now. Maybe I missed some stuff at the beginning, but it sounded like she'd made no effort to keep in touch with Zoe. Why should she be able to waltz right in and whisk her away? And to think Jack wouldn't object?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
It's been a very long time since we've seen the Jack that left his daughter in a jail cell. I'm willing to grant that he may have been quite sucktabulous, and in a way you wouldn't expect a year to change.
But it's certainly not fresh in our minds.
And, like mentioned above, it might suck to be married to a cop/doctor/whatever, but there's a difference between doing what the job requires and ditching the family to hide in work. Carping spouses (I do think I've seen it both ways round) who don't get that are hard to relate to.

Yeah, I had big issues with the A plot in this one. We ended up re shooting the ending of this episode. The first ending just had us in a room watching the storm and fixing it with switches and knobs. And then the network said "That sucks. Throw Colin in front of a bunch of wind machines for a bit." I'm so glad these two eps are over.
Yeah I ended up looping a lot of stuff in this one. And the looping in Vancouver is done from the back of a van - which is brutal. So I expect a lot of the looping to be obvious until Episode 6.
Thank God that next ep is from Johanna Stokes. She's great and it's - well that would give away too much. But I like it. I want to say so much about the sh*tstorm of behind the scenes stuff but it would spoil.
I'll tell you after the next couple of eps air. Suffice to say it's a lot of fun to read the comments right now.
