Saffron: You won't tell anyone about me breaking down? Mal: I won't. Saffron: Then I won't tell anyone how easily I got your gun out of your holster. Mal: I'll take that as a kindness.

Art Crawl!!!

Doctor Who sponsored by Number 23.

Sounds very Seseme Street, doesn't it?

And that Skinwalkers movie sounds like a Scifi Channel movie.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Aww, Boe!

(I suspect Laura tuned it at the same time I did.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Must set Tivo for Sands of Oblivion in case I forget. Just for Baldwin and Baccarin, even if it sucks.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah I came in late. I'll have to watch that episode again.

Just for Baldwin and Baccarin, even if it sucks.

I expect it will be the quality product we have come to expect from SciFi original movies. Fun for the whole family. Wine helps.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Question for longtime Who-vians: is the Face of Bo (or Boe or whatever) something that originated with number 9, or is this a long term Doctor Who character?

is the Face of Bo (or Boe or whatever) something that originated with number 9

Yup, he's new series only, FB.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I liked the kittens.

I also loved the Doctor dropping in on all the commuters with the aid of the Sonic Screwdriver!

I loved the matter-of-fact elderly lesbian couple. Especially the one who does the gridlock equivalent of trainspotting.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Cat People! Kittens! Rose-angst! Martha-angst! Doctor lying because he just can't share with Martha what he shared with Rose! Martha saving herself! Kittens! Face of Boe don't die! Martha putting her foot down, you go girl! The Doctor talking about Gallifrey!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this ep, the whole backstory of what happened to the city, the devestation of seeing the senate turned into a tomb, that there was no nefarious plot, just an attempt to save humankind as best the senate could, and the danger that those rose out of that gesture. The city singing was just beautiful, and made me think that this was the commuters only way to feel connected as a people and society despite being physically isolated in their sardine tins. And the singing was especially lovely --the whole of the scene, really-- when the Doctor finally tells Martha about Gallifrey.
