Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, this is appointment tv now.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

This ep I enjoyed, but also threw me off with it's new tone, because of the newness, methinks. Definitely needs a rewatch or three :)

I think I'm really stoked at the chance to explore new dynamics with the characters. Stark and Allison and Henry especially will (and have) been throwing previously established dynamics for a loop, and that new territory is scary and exciting.

Although, still dark. Very very dark. And not always in a cool chiaroscuro way. Sometimes like... mud.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Why does Global not have a Files And Records?

Why does Global not have a Files And Records?

Har. I thought the same thing. But then, Files and Records probably would have been down during the reboot.

Quick jump to the end - thank goodness for askye's post upstream about the midnight re-run; I thought I was sunk - is anyone around who could give me a quick recap of the first few minutes of Eureka tonight - just the part before the show intro.? I'm sure I can catch up without it, but...

Hey, it's the Colonel who got blowed up in SG-1! A.k.a the pilot from BSG!

Aw. Poor Jack. Totally smacked down by Allison.

Is Beverly trying to recruit Henry? Kinda seems like it.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Fargo is polishing up his desk, getting ready for the new boss, Allison. An annoying smarmy guy tells Fargo that he should have Fargo's job. Various military types show up to oversee the transfer from Stark to Allison. It's kind of like "Branded," in that he's stripped of his boss computer access and it's transferred to Allison. This is when we find out that her passwood is 8675309, which has hopelessly earwormed me. Because of the transfer of power and the explosion and assorted handwaving, they're shutting down the computer system for 8 hours.

Fargo goes into the bathroom. He finds a shiny silver thing in his coat pocket and, instead of thinking, "Why the hell is this thing in my pocket," he turns it on. It turns out to be a forcefield that he can't turn off.

Stark gives Allison a cool nameplate and tells her that he's glad to be out of the job. Fool that she is, she says, "Was it really that bad?" and then the retired and rejected projects inventory guy calls to say that a code red device is missing.

Also, OMG I love this show.

Ginger, thank you for the most excellent recap.

Oh, poor Fargo! He's so skeered. Oh, and he has to pee. Poor noodle.

ETA: Oh, and sumi, I bow to your powers of recall.

ETAA: Ha! The fake PSA is awesome! "Live smart, Eureaka."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

since I was too busy thinking "Why are they showing everyone her password?"

That's why I caught it.
