I like the bendy straw.

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I find it amusing that Martha sees non human looking aliens, is on the moon, hears the Doctor's story, sees a woman drinking blood through a bendy straw, and only truly believes the Doctor is an alien (even after hearing his heartbeats) when the Jadoon classify him as non human.
Oh, goodness, I quite like Martha. And not just because she's the first black companion. And she's gorgeous!
I like her too. She's smart and funny and apparently the only sensible person in her family. (Probably a good idea to have somebody sensible around the Doctor too.)
Well, technically, Mickey was the first black companion, even though he was only one for two episodes. She is gorgeous, though, and her ability to think clearly is a big plus (the Bride would never have worked, but I liked the fact that meeting the Doctor did expand her potential). She's a med student, therefore her scientific mind would lead to her only believing the Doctor is an alien when the scanners read him as such.
I'm liking her so far, and the fact that we only got a brief glimpse of her family at least assures me that they're not going to pull another Jackie Tyler with her.
Does True Blood stuff go in here or over in premium?
Well, it's vampiric:
pictures from the set of True Blood -- it's just being built.
(I'm never in premium.)
BBCA ran a teaser for Torchwood during the Mayo Mysteries.
Well, technically, Mickey was the first black companion, even though he was only one for two episodes.
oh, I didn't count him as an actual companion, he was just there because of Rose. Although I think you're right.
Oh, and they're advertising Doctor Who season 2 on Supernatural Saturdays in September.
It makes me wonder if there are people who get BBCA who don't get Scifi and vice versa.
