So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sumi, I'm glad those were collected somewhere. There used to be a site that had the actual journal, front cover open so you could see John's medals clipped to the pocket, and a stack of folded news clippings and notes shoved into the pocket.

The official SPN site still has an interactive thing up where you find the journal in the back floorboard of the Impala. Click on it and you can turn each page, and read those entries in "John's handwriting", along with a few clippings and drawings pertaining to S1 episodes. This site doesn't, but the other one had the back cover pocket, with photos of John, Mary, and the boys, and John with his Marine unit.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oblique spoilers for Who 3.11 I have just started watching Life on Mars, and I am now dying for someone to write a crossover fic.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

DW: I am so overcome with joy for this episode that I can't even begin to talk about it yet. I am just marinating in joy. If joy were barbeque sauce, I would be a pulled pork sandwich. With extra pickles. And John Barrowman would be beer.

Oh, RTD, I can't believe I'm saying this since you have so brutally earned my wrath in the past, but I take it all back. I will trust you from now on, because if you can smooth all this out TWO YEARS after you set it up, and leave me happy like a one-night stand with Claudia Black, you are so worthy of my trust.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

::fist pump::

I scored a Who toaster. My sister didn't count, since it was the man-on-man in Torchwood that gave her the slightest interest. But I showed a susceptible friend "Blink" and he was very impressed and now needs to watch all of Who 2005.

It didn't annoy him, he said. They did the time travel and the explanation of time-related stuff just tidily and just vaguely enough that it didn't annoy him. Plus the good characterisation.

Oh, sure, he'll get annoyed with some of the rest of it, but by then it will be too late. He's never put down a glass of Kool Aid I've handed him yet.

Art Crawl!!!

Tonight's the first night that SPN will be preceded by a repeat of 7th Heaven. I wonder what if the ratings will improve over the lead-in (ha) that Hidden Palms gave them.

Art Crawl!!!

I wonder if Diane will turn up in Seattle and go back to NTAC. I mean, then Tom wouldn't have Lorne as his partner.

Who 3.11 -

Wow, that was fun on so many levels. Whee! I and only barely know anything about the history of the Master. But, as noted... John Simm!!

I kind of figured Derek Jacobi for a time lord, because I've sort of been waiting for it since The Face of Bo said the Doctor wasn't alone. And, I mean, Derek Jacobi. And then with the whole seemingly stand-alone with John Smith, well... it all clicked pretty early on. But I didn't know who it was going to be, and Martha figuring it all out was awesome, and then when the Doctor's reaction was so fierce, and she was all confuzzled... way to play it, actress whose name I still cannot spell.

I think I need to research and Netflix old eps revolving around the Master.

And last, I loved David Tennant and John Barrowman together. They were fantastic, and it was really well-written. And it was so, so fun to see Captain Jack again - he doesn't have nearly as much fun in Torchwood.

DZ: Now that Walt is dead, wouldn't it be cool if the actor went on Numb3rs as Colby's brother? Given that the actor is actually the brother of the Colby actor.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I really liked Walt. I liked the way he became so matter-of-fact about using Johnny's talent.

I spent the last 30 minutes of The Dead Zone AIMing with a friend about how I was expecting them to back out of it all as an elaborate vision.

Color me surprised.
