On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I think I need to see that spot--but I'm unlikely ever to be on the way from Flagstaff to Phoenix. There are places like it on the Blue Ridge. And more around Mt. Baker. I have an afinity for mountains, it seems.

Because books.

::screams wordlessly::

I angered the laptop's poor baby howler monkey feelings, apparently. It freaked the hell out when I tried to catch up with you all.

We've now Had Words, and I'm going to eat ice cream and watch all by my lonesome, here in bed, with my poor feet up. And still no codeine.

::cries with Plei::

Oh, and Cass, I will get to email in a bit. You doll, you.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

It just kills me that he's all "what's dead should stay dead", but he so changes his mind when it's Sam. Although, it is a way of making him dead in a year, so I guess it still all holds up. But, still. Oh, Dean.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm flexible on the w&p time and know there are lot of people who aren't so much, so whatever works, I will be there.

I'm not even sure it looked exactly like that. Just that it's exactly where it resonated in my head. I may never be back, but if I am, there will be pictures.

Art Crawl!!!

I watched and taped Simon Said. Because it's one of the mid-season 2 things that I don't have a "proper" tape of -- I realize that by the time I get the season taped in proper order we'll probably have dvds, and yet, I persist.

Persistence is good. Have you met us? I only got rid of the last of my Buffy tapes a few months ago, and I've had the dvds forever.

The one thing I lovelovelove about Simon Said is Dean's hand on Sam's back after the doctor walks in front of a bus. That little touch always undoes me. Sam doesn't even react to it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'd say more like Boston and NYC.

I think that Boston is more cosmopolitan than Manchester. But, my experience with Manchester is a friend from there (working class girl who married into peerage, go her), and a brief train layover.

Seriously, I think Dean kind of owed Sam some brotherly support after all his pissy and bitchy behavior in "Bloodlust" and "CSPWDT." And he makes up for a lot of it in "Simon Said." But up until that point I was feeling kind of grumpy about his attitude.

Well, even with his pissy and bitchy behavior, he never wavered when Sam was in physical danger or distress.

I think that's sort of the MO for a lot of guys. Piss and moan, but still have your back.
