This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
but ita's right.
Indeed, I'm also glad it happened the way it did. Regarding, the
"if they see each other they die, that's why they usually cover their faces":
I totally missed that, but it makes sense if true. Well, "makes sense" might be too strong of a phrase, but it certainly resolves things more completely.
Jon, it's not that they
die; it's that they're permanently stone. They're alive forever, unable to do anything because there will always be someone looking at them. Unless someone comes down there and moves the statues.
I can't stop thinking about this episode. It's so cool.
That's not what Fiona said upthread, P-C. She said it's more permanent than what you're saying.
I don't know where she's getting that from, then.
I don't generally watch Dr. Who, but man do I want to see this episode now. Are they rerunning it soon? (And are we talking SciFi Channel?)
this is the season currently airing in the UK, Amy, but rumour has it that this season will be starting on Sci-Fi in july.
Ah! Cool.
Is it on BBCAmerica right now, then? Or only on UK TV?
Only in the UK.
Edit, spoilery:
Can't blink. Statues will eat me.
I don't know where she's getting that from, then.
FAQWife recalled hearing something similar, but I don't recall it either.
I just watched the Dr. Who Confidential. Lots of great clips from throughout the history of the show. Good stuff. One interesting thing about this week's ep:
the statues were played by actors! I assumed they just built a bunch of real statues...
