The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Also, given the amount of people who had apparently met and/or worked with him, he really did leave those boys alone an awful lot. And that just ... makes my heart hurt for them.

Me too. I think John did the best he could, and better than some would, but he also managed to fuck up his sons a lot.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I've always held the opinion that John didn't tell his boys about other hunters, other than the few John considered friends, or the Roadhouse, because he hoped that when they tracked down "the" demon, their hunting days would be over. They'd kill it, and go home.

That they were all considerably younger when he made that decision I've no doubt. And that he never reconsidered because it wasn't relevant. Also, knowing what he knew about Sam, it's likely that he wanted to keep Sam under the radar of other hunters, who might feel about him as Gordon did.

Just my take on it.

Do we want to try Tuesday at 7:00 next week to see if that works better for people, or would that interfere with the Buffy post and watch for anyone?

Never mind Did the link instructions make sense, Beverly?

Because books.

I can kind of see that, Bev.

Although this is saddening in another way, because it's so naive.

I can do Tuesday at seven board time, yeah. I got way beind on the Buffy watch and posts, and I'm sort of not in the mood lately. I've seen them all so often. I'm hoping for an Angel W&P at some point myself.

They did, and it seems to work fine, Lee. If anybody notices anything weird, let me know and I'll try to fix it.

Would 8:00 be better or worse for folks? I can do later on weekdays.

I reallyreally want to watch CSPWDT right now, and zzzzzip right through to Croatoan. I've been jonesing for Croatoan for days, now. But I'll be good and restrain myself.

Except that at least the boys didn't know it was a demon until the show started. That doesn't know John didn't know and didn't tell them, but since he spent time hunting other things, I think it's a safe bet he didn't know.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Bev's take on it's the same as mine. John's decision slid from thinking it would be over to knowing something about Sam that could make introducing them to anyone other than the most trusted few a danger.

Sundays are bad for me, I am finding out. Too much last-minute weekend stuff to do with the Bean.
