Sam--JP--shuffles when he has to match step with JA. I think one of the things that was most impressive about Evil!Sam was how freely JP moved, on his own. He didn't have to pull in those long limbs.

I always subconsciously make the tallest guy in a show/movie the same height as Stephen, which makes JA read as pretty short to me, when he's really Stephen's height.
Not that anyone really needed to know that.
