S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It is inexplicable to me that dvds for Robin Hood are coming out just two weeks after the season finale here while we are still waiting to hear about LoM - was Robin Hood so much more popular than LoM in the UK that they would plan this?

Not really! But it was one of those cute, cheap, easily sellable shows. It's pretty astonishing that LOM doesn't have a quicker DVD release date, because *everyone* was talking about it around the office for the finale.

P-C, it starts off kind of weird but interesting, then diverges into creepy yet funny, and finally (at the end of season one) you end up a babbling wreck just asking for MORE MORE MORE.

Kind of like a zombie, with cable.

Oooh, new who. Hopefully better who than last week, because last week was yawn city.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So who did we see in the hotel bar? None other than Kevin freakin Sorbo.

Ha. Be careful. He may start appearing every time you say his name.

Art Crawl!!!

I've come up with a reason why we haven't got LoM dvds yet - perhaps they're waiting until season 2 has been shown over here and then will do a 16 episode 2 series set for North America. (Which would make it sometime next Spring.) Would we complain more about paying really big bucks for something that ony has 8 episodes (twice) or paying even more money for 16 at once?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

ROAD TRIP!

Amazon.co.uk has Life on Mars Series 1 & 2 on DVD. That's all there is, right? I can't wait until they decide to release it over here. So glad for my hackable DVD player that lets me play all regions. ::pets DVD player::

Who 3.8.: I agree totally, Jen. My Digibox stopped before the preview, so I only just watched that online. If anything, it makes the suspense even worse. Marriage and babies? I'm really looking forward to next week.

And how could I forget to mention the notebook? Loved it. Previous doctors!! On first watch I recognised Five, and EIGHT; must go back and pause. Slitheen! Rose! Cybermen! Absolutely wonderful. Want one.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm watching LoM season 2 today. It's been forever since I've seen any LoM and I'd completely forgotten how atrocious the wallpaper and other "decor" in Sam's flat is. I think the wallpaper alone would be enough to drive anyone mad. Also, I bet the set designer had a great deal of fun working on this show. (British patterns/decor from the early 70s may actually be worse than US decor from the same era. I had no idea.)

So far I've watched eps 1-6. I'm enjoying the idea that there was some sort of "plan" that Sam was supposed to know about. Seeing Marc Warren in episode 1 was a little bit off-putting. It's like he's the new Robson Green. It's a miracle that Robson Green hasn't shown up in it. Also, I think that they got more, different music this year: I wonder if the quality of series one encouraged other musicians to allow them to use their songs. And if you were sent back in time to the early '70s would you bother solving crimes? Or would you just try to madly catch as many acts as you could that you were much too young (or possibly not born yet) to see -- or that never came to America. I mean, why not?
