Morgana, good catch--I'd forgotten about Missouri, which is dumb. My excuse is that I had a huge sushi dinner last night and was barely conscious while writing my post.

Art Crawl!!!

And of course Cassie - who I try to forget about and I do that so much that I can't really recall the plot of Route 666 - just that she certainly seemed to be on Dean's side.

just that she certainly seemed to be on Dean's side.

Certainly his front.

What?

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I'm not sure we can really count Cassie as an ally, per se, because during her pre-series interactions with Dean she kicked him out as soon as she found out about his real identity. During "Route 666" her only function was to be the damsel in distress (and to get Dean nekkid, so I guess we can thank her for that). She doesn't really serve any other helpful narrative purpose.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Silly question - I don't have the S1 Supernatural discs (I shall have to buy them at some point, rather than Netflix them). Do we ever see if John is still wearing his wedding ring or not?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yes, he does, Anne. We get at least one shot of it, I think at Missouri's, in Home? I'm not sure which ep the second picture linked to below is from, but I don't think it's Home.

eta: In Shadow too, based on the pictures here: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ha! It always makes me laugh when I click on a link without checking it and it ends me up on provocateuse.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

John's wedding ring is most certainly there, all heavy and gold. (Yellow. My brain thinks about 6mm half round? Err. I could check that.) It stuck in my brain enough that it played a major role in the Dean birthday fic I wrote that wound up being largely about John.

ETA: looks more white in those caps. Hmm. I should pop in a S1 disc and check. (and maybe more in the 4-5mm range. clearly, it's larger than life in my head.)

Many thanks, Lee!

Edit: and Plei, as well.

(This is for a fic, in case anyone was wondering.)
