You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, GC. Sorry to hear about the dentist thing.

I have not been to the dentist in a very, very long time. I dread even thinking about it. I pretty much can't right now anyway, having no insurance and no money to pay for a dental visit myself. I'm pretty terrified of what a visit to the dentist would bring.

They better do well, Nora. The city gave 'em $60 million in tax breaks. When you coming to town?

Heh. As someone who is over the moon to be able to get to Columbus cheaply, I thank you and all your fellow tax-paying denizens. We're going out father's day weekend in June and also the weekend of Sept. 22. Bought the 4 tickets for like $185.

Sox, who was that email from the student or the department? Law schools have an attendance requirement, placed on them by the ABA, which is rarely enforced in any way, but at which I can point if a student complains that coming to class is an undue burden.

Poor GC! I still need to find a dentist.

vw, where 'bouts is your brother in KC? My DH's familiy is in Overland Park and Blue Springs. He'll be there this weekend, but I managed to avoid yet another visit with the in-laws. Go me!

I have a dentist's appointment next Wednesday. I know I have other cavities, but I'm telling him to fix the molar that's really bad and the others can be done when I have the money. Sadly, pain is free. Unless it's that very sophisticated pain.

not your mom's socks.

who was that email from the student or the department?

Student. The department has the same attendance requirements.... I responded to the student saying that I hoped he/she (seriously, not sure) could take the class another semester, and that seemed to do the trick.

lisah - how was your lunch w/the fells pointers?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I rarely see a dentist. I rarely get cavities. Not sure why. My last cavity disappeared on its own. I swear it did.

Mostly lurking...

I've been trying to see a dentist for MONTHS. Both of my insurance carriers have dentist coverage, but no on takes my insurance...or, if they do they have a terrible wait for appointments. It's been most frustrating, and I actually have a really sensitive tooth that I'm afraid has a cavity. I keep waiting and hoping, and getting nothing.

They're actually in Lawrence, KS, but you fly into KC. B works in KC too, so they're there a lot.

Calling AIMEE! Have you seen this: [link] I'm thinking about ordering some of it for the nephew.

Ok. Must stop baby shopping and get back to work.

My last cavity disappeared on its own.

Damn, that's so not fair!!!1!

I haven't had a cavity in many years, but I am now having to have 25 year old silver amalgam fillings replaced, in some cases with gold bridges. Giving new meaning to putting my money where my mouth is.
