Ann, that's a ferret.

I think "what is wrong with women?" is a great question to ask. It may just be as simple as "men beat the crap out of women because they can."

Some may call me a traitor to my gender, but I think it's also legitimate to ask, "what is wrong with men?" And the same answer may apply.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I thought it was implied in the way he wrote the piece.

I know you didn't ask me, ChiKat, but I'ma weigh in anyway. I'd say interview, try like hell to find something else, but take it if necessary. Who knows, maybe you'll thrive on it! And if not, then (like me) you'll be able to say that at least anything later will be better! Probably.

And anyway, maybe it's better than you think! Heh. Heheheheheheheheeeeeeeee.

Okay, I have to go call and have a phone interview now (WITH THE HATE). Think of me!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'ma weigh in anyway

I'm glad you did. I know you've been in a, how to say politely, less than ideal situation this year and kept thinking of you when trying to decide if I should even go and interview. Maybe I should go just to get some interview practice if nothing else.

I'd like your opinion on something else, too. I have an interview for a great job, great school on Thursday. But, it's a middle school and I never ever considered teaching middle school. If your students had been more motivated, how would teaching 6-8 graders be?

Okay, I have to go call and have a phone interview now (WITH THE HATE). Think of me!

Oh! All kinds of ~ma!!! Rock it like a rocking thing!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I taught middle schoolers for three years and loved it. They need to be treated with a strong personality and little snark--seems like the perfect job for a Buffista.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Interestingly, I just had the - are things worse? conversation with a neighbor tonight. I am happy to say that I just thought we got more , sooner and with more detail than we used to . But the good news - I also instantly learned of 3 charities that are trying to help

Inreallygoodnews, I just was a t a party celebrating a friend that was sworn in as a new citizen today.

Oddly, I really like that age - still enough kid in them to be fun , but they start thinking a bit, They can be really fun to talk to. They can be horrid in a group - they actually notice when you are rattled. However, when I threatened them with duct tapeing them to their chairs - they both got the message and thought it was funny. Of course, I only delt with them ina library setting

I think I can handle that.

I could do that, too!

The job is teaching all drama classes which I would absolutely adore. I was just concerned about the age group.

Well, the phone interview was for another middle school, so I'm still considering it an option. They want me to come teach a demo lesson next week (EEEEK) to an advanced 7th-grade class which is doing algebra. And I'm thinking, it's like you're asking me to teach aliens. I don't even know what that LOOKS like at this point. So I'm freaking a little.

Thing is, I've only taught eighth graders this year, and so much happens in so short a time that I think sixth graders may be ENTIRELY different (look at me, all with the asscaps). But some of my kids are really great. There are definitely pluses, and with a group without such huge outside problems, I think it could be great.
