I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I went to the dentist today and I have 8 cavities! I brush, I floss, I go to the dentist 4 times/year. 8 cavities in the last 4 months after years of none. Not fair.

It's because you're SO SWEET YOU'RE MADE OF SUGAR

Raq, that is amazing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

How strange and wonderful that those girls are all right!

GC, that many cavities is unfair! Have you developed a new love of fruit roll-ups or something?

Speaking of which, if any DCistas have a dentist recommendation, I'd love to hear it. I'm due for a cleaning.

Raq, I'm so glad to hear they'll be okay. Much healing ~ma to them.

sj, I know that the apt wasn't your first choice, but I'm glad you're getting out of the place you're in.

move out and draw fire

I'd imagine it'll be harder for the emotional scars to heal.

Yeah, she's pretty paranoid right about now.

I just, I mean...can you imagine learning someone had tied your child to a chair and slashed her throat? I hate being a parent. It's way too stressful.

connie, I immediately started wondering if it was like a AP round that hit at just the right angle to flatten and thus couldn't penetrate, so, yeah, right there with you.

Thanks. Me too. We had a couple weeks where there wasn't a showing, but I just got a call about the second one this week. It will all feel better when all of our stuff is in our new place.

not your mom's socks.

Yeah, she's pretty paranoid right about now.

I don't blame her. So glad that they're ok! And that they have all the time they need to heal.

Did they catch the people who did it? I feel like I'm missing part of the story. But that may be good, as I'm in quick-switch-the-channel mode if something happens to a child-actor ... not to mention someone who knows someone's child - no matter how old they are.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I haven't. I swear I've done nothing new in the last 4 months. My dentist gave me some bs about stress being a factor, but even that hasn't been more than usual. Harumph.

Picture time! Here's me [link] at the Getty Villa this weekend (I'll be vain and say I like this pic of myself). Here are my baby niece and nephew [link] at the zoo, and here's crazy B with a monkey [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Raq, that story is terrifying. Poor kids, poor parents! Even with the miraculous ending, it's too scary to contemplate.

GC, your nephew looks like he's not impressed with the fake tiger. Hee! So cute!
