Ooo, so cute! It is good that these will not fit me either.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
JZ! I was just talking to Mr. Jane about you guys! Next time I'm up, I'll bring him. The boys can visit and we'll go hang out. Jon's already enticed by the whole Tom Waits thing. They can take hours while we play with the baby and shop.

You know, just because it's your anniversary does not mean you can bogart the JZ and 'tilda-baby. Leave some for the rest of us.
Happy anniversary to the couple Jane!
And the awesomest, happiest, most excellent of birthdays to Vortex!
Empress, I'ma send my father after the asshat. He won't know what hit him.
Brackets and assorted other puctuation to everyone who needs them.

That sounds like fun!
Happy anniversary!
Happy birthday, Vortex, you gorgeous thing.
Back from a long day in the East Bay. Dropped Emmett off at school. Went to a cafe and wrote (a lot and good stuff) until the early afternoon. Picked Emmett and his friend (and teammate) Nicky up after school at 3. Dropped them at Nicky's house to get dressed for the game. Killed time at B&N. Came back and collected the boys for the game.
Baseball baseball baseball - we lost. And home again.
Left the house at 7:40am and got back at 8:30pm.
Tomorrow? More writing! Why do people want to be writers anyway? It's a damn lot of work is what it is!
We sat together at one summer's end,
That beautiful mild woman, your close friend,
And you and I, and talked of poetry.
I said, 'A line will take us hours maybe;
Yet if it does not seem a moment's thought,
Our stitching and unstitching has been naught.
Better go down upon your marrow-bones
And scrub a kitchen pavement, or break stones
Like an old pauper, in all kinds of weather;
For to articulate sweet sounds together
Is to work harder than all these, and yet
Be thought an idler by the noisy set
Of bankers, schoolmasters, and clergymen
The martyrs call the world.'

happy belated Vortex & Janeversary!
more power to your benevolent dictator Sparky....
Hello all. I have slept for about 24 hours and feel somewhat awake now. Short version, I am too old to deal with all nighters and deadlines.
I missed sending birthday wishes to Vortex. I hope it was a fabulous one.
Also missed sending wishes for a happy anniversary to the Janes. It does sound like a good time was had. (I'll be in Dallas Sunday)
May the new apartment work out better than expected, sj. Surprisingly awesome new friends to be found among the new neighbors.
Smite 'em Empress. Good grief.
Also, typing not quite working yet as this post is taking too much effort.
Late night quotage from Jen. At least here I believe the writer's labor is appreciated. Also, we all work too damn hard.
Suzi! DC! I did not know this. Cool.
I haven't gotten together with any of the DCistas. This must be remedied. I have plans for a housewarming party around Memorial Day, but I really need to get a house first.
Right there with you on being over the apartment shopping, sj. May your place be much more wonderful than you expect.
Ooo, Kristin. Links. Pretty coat. Just when I decided to stop spending money.
Gronk.
Aimee, package JUST came!!!! It's huge. Owen and I are unpacking it.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Damn - that took for freaking forever.
