I got a little sniffly at the GG finale too, especially when Luke said I just want to see you happy my allergies got really bad. And I loved Emily trying to come up with a way to keep Lorelai coming over for dinner although I didn't like the way she kept interrupting Richard when he was trying to compliment Lorelai. Given that he's not inclined to hyperbole or grand emotional pronouncements, this was big for them and I got a little misty there, too. LOVE Edward Hermann.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Raq OMG. Bad things need to stop happing to Buffistas and friends/relatives of Buffistas.

Megan--Happy Birthday.
Skippy McSkimmerson apologizes if I've left other important events of the day.
It was a good ending.
It really was. And Vortex, I couldn't agree with you more. I loved all those parts too.
I'm such a sap. I cannot stop crying at this stupid Gilmore Girls Finale.
I cried pretty much through the whole thing. Such a good ending. I loved Luke. I'm sad to see the show end, but it ended perfectly.
My Tivo got screwed up and I lost the last five minutes of Gilmore Girls! (I have no idea what the problem is. There's a five minute space there where trying to play or rewind or fast-forward into that segment makes the Tivo freeze up. Brand new Tivo. I am Not Pleased.)
Anyway. Can someone whitefont what happened? I got up to the point where Sookie had told Laurelei that Luke planned the party, and she was walking over to him .
Hil She thanked him and they kissed, then they showed Lorelai and Rory finishing the packing, and they went to Luke's for coffee and breakfast. Lorelai was wearing the necklace that Luke bought for her.
Thanks, sj.
I finished grading finals today. Nothing more I need to do this semester!
Also, I managed to get a good half the grad students in my department angry at me with a single email. (We're moving to new office space, and we needed to arrange ourselves into offices. I stupidly volunteered to coordinate them. Asked everyone to tell me what their preferences were, and arranged it as well as I could based on all of that. Eleven of the 14 people were either happy with it, or OK enough with it that they said it was fine. Three people sent me emails about how I didn't put them where they wanted to be, and it's not fair that I'm arranging the offices because of course I'll put my own preferences first, and they should have priority because they're fifth-year students (um, one of them is. the other two are third-year), and how it should have been a faculty member rather than a student arranging this (well, the faculty member in charge told us to work it out amongst ourselves.))
After way too many rounds of this with these same three people I gave up and, with another grad student, went to talk to the faculty member in charge of this stuff and told him that it was getting out of hand, and we needed him to just send out a list of what the offices were going to be. We told him what all the contraints were, and we sat down and worked out an arrangement together. It's not really anyone's ideal arrangement, but at least now, if people are going to bitch about it, it won't be to me.
I just drove like 30 miles with a new jogging stroller (in the box) on the Miata. Fear me.
I also have acquired a copy of several of Shakespeare's plays done as role-playing games for d20.
I haven't done the dishes, but whatever.
Bye bye Gilmore Girls. I liked your last episode, it was nicely bookendy.
Did anyone else mention SF/Fantasy author David Eddings accidentally set fire to his garage and office back in January? [link]
