You guys had a riot? On account of me? A real riot?

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

I still have a severe case of going for a word and not finding it and a lot of trouble focusing.

Libkitty, if you find a non-chemo reason for this, let me know, cause I got it too.

When I was hospitalized last year with the "episodes," I told the seizure specialist that I really felt that my word-finding and focusing was getting worse. She said, "Honey, that's not seizures. That's getting older. Once you hit 30, it's all downhill from there in that department."

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Something in her new meds requires that she stay out of the sun for 5 days post-treatment.

what, like she's going to burst into flame if she gets touched by the sun?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Once you hit 30, it's all downhill from there in that department.

I've heard this before, but it's still sooooo depressing.

I remember when I was in high school, and I'd get so annoyed at my mom when she couldn't find a word. We still have some differences, but this one I completely repent!

What is even happening?

Plus, I think ADs make you stupid. I know they've made me stupider.

I remember hearing Betsy and ita talk about some of the various drugs they tried and the mind-fuzzing things they did, and i was like "Aaagh, I don't know if I could do that". Don't tell me I just get OLD and start losing things!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Plus, I think ADs make you stupid. I know they've made me stupider.

They make me more forgetful when I'm on them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The migraines make me so stupid, though, it's hard to tell if I'll ever not be stupid again. I bolted from work because between everything, I couldn't even take numbers off a phone call right. So I welcome the fuzz of my Percoset overlords.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And yet they use (some) ADs to treat (some) ADD. Neuropharmacology is whack.
