No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil, Does it taste a lot like Ranch dressing?

Not really, though it would taste more like it if I'd used the right herbs. The background taste is definitely beans, not mayo. (Though I'm not a big fan of mayo, so that works out.) The lemon juice + soy milk does give a bit of a buttermilk flavor, though, which is nice.

Compassionately intolerant

The 16 year old totally aced his drama final...doing a monologue from a Neil LaBute piece that makes you wanna open a vein...after some coaching from Auntie Beej. Then he introduced me as his 'neighbor.' Observe the fickle mind of the 16 year old male.

Still, except for yesterday's pushback, things have been well. His mom comes home tonight but I still have him until tomorrow. Fingers crossed that all remains well.

eta: Dilemma! I wrote about matchdude in Natter and the 16 year old ward in Bitches. Too lazy to break up the post.

Oh, and the reply from the matchdude about the riddle was very Buffistalike...

Remember, the riddle was: There are three erors in this sentance, what are they?

Lee, Kathy and myself got it right, but he responded with one more twist..."three should be spelled two." Definitely reminded me of y'all.

Our wings are not tired.

collapse

We emptied out the storage unit and filled the new trailer thing. Several thousand pounds worth of containers. Granted DH did 90% of the lifting, but Bobby and I helped with the pushing and pulling and balancing. The unit was on the 3rd floor. Many trips. What a task.

My poor DH. He went out at 7 this morning to do a bit of work at the office. He was relaxed and decided to drive down the beach on the way. As he headed down the final stretch a car in front of him suddenly did a u-turn and got smooshed. Car vs 350 big ass truck. Car totalled. Fortunately there was a truck driver that witnessed it and the car driver told the police that he was an idiot and never looked to see if someone was behind him. Other guy got a reckless driving ticket, and he has insurance. No one was hurt.

But my poor sweety. He loves his truck so much. It is his new baby and now it is damaged. He was crushed. (I had to get out of bed and go console him at the scene) Fender, headlight, quarter panel. And he is leaving to drive to Dallas on Wednesday pulling the trailer. A neighbor pulled out the bumper so he could turn the wheel. Now if the body shop people can get a headlight to stay put he will be able to drive it and deal with the actual repair when he gets back.

He's outside now playing basketball with my son. I don't know where he gets the energy. I'm ready for a nap.

Observe the fickle mind of the 16 year old male.

Just observe from a safe distance. Trying to make sense of them can only lead to madness.

Yay for matchdude. Internet didn't exist the last time I dated so that wasn't an option. I honestly don't know if I would have gone that route.

Oh, my hair is too short to put in a pony tale for the sweat inducing labor so I put it in pigtails. DH and GF have declared it my one true hairstyle.

Apartment update:

The house is definitely out. They have not returned any of the phone calls from my real estate agent, and he's pissed off about it.

We put a deposit on our second choice, so it is being held for us if we want it.

We are looking at one more apartment on Wednesday, and then we are signing on one of the two apartments. We have to mail in our notice to our current landlord on Monday, so any ~ma that all of this works out for us, please. I know I have been spamming the thread with all of this, and I hope it is over soon.

I think we need pictures. Also, poor DH! I'm glad everyone is ok.

Beej, matchdude sounds fun. Good luck!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Poor DH! Poor truck! It will be all right, poor truck. Mechanics will make it all better.

Beej, good luck with match dude!

Laura, I'm sorry about your DH's truck. I want a picture of the pigtail look.
