having once reported some neighbors who had a dog that they said they loved ... but who would leave him alone all day and then hit him when they came home and found he'd had an "accident" just about every day and, when they had a party, would tie him up outside for up to eight hours with no water and such a short leash that he could sit or stand in one place but not walk or even lie down.

Thank you! I actually made a skirt those would be righteous for. It's a yoked, pleated, full thing in blue chinese brocade satin. Obviously meant for those shoes. Or the other way around. Either way mine!
