Willow: Were there dolphins? Tara: Yes. Many dolphins at the pound. Willow: Was there a camel? Tara: There was the front of a camel. A half-camel.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thanks, Cindy. I really want to get this all done and settled so that we can have our notice to our landlord in the mail in plenty of time for them to receive it on the 15th. I just want this done so I can focus on the packing and moving thing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Allieann, I am so sorry. {{{}}}

ImememeNews, Joe and our boxes just left. He's dropping them at the UPack depot in Pico Rivera. So sad to see that 10 years of our life didn't even fill a box truck.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

sj! All of my apartment~ma to you.

smooches all the Bitches

Mi madre & I have been having fun - I dragged her around on Friday to show her off, we went up to Calistoga on Saturday (wherein we encountered a snake, a brown recluse spider, and scorpions - never stay at the Silver Rose), came back on Sunday and watched some sports, and then I started my new job yesterday (after handing off everything to my boss & recommending JZ as my replacement). The new job is sheer chaos right now - we just moved to our new offices yesterday, so everyone is much like a headless chicken. But it will be fun. As soon as the Allergies of DOOOOOM go away. YEs.

juliana!

What is the new job like, besides chaos? Have you been back in the chair? Did your mom go home? Did y'all get over to Hec & JZ's? Where'd y'all go on Friday?

Could I ask anymore questions?

DJ! Whee!

New job is good - I think I'll do well here. I need to do some research, but that can wait. I return to the chair on Sunday at 2. Whoot. Momma is still here - hopefully we'll see Hec & JZ tonight. We went to Columbus, Amante, and Ace's. Mom didn't make it too long, and I was actually in bed and asleep by 1 - unheard of for a Friday.

Yes, you can!

I'm glad that this job is working out so well for you, juliana. I hope you continue to be happy there.

I just remembered one. When do you go on your trip? Soon, right?

I have decided to go ahead and start researching my Eve tattoo. I really want Mikey to do it, but he's busy with the UMF's, and I have no idea when I'm going to make it back to my hometown.

Librarian Warlord

I've pinged that spa down the street to see if they have appointments available for nail services.

Herding cats for fun

Parental reaction is key with toddlers

I once cheered up a stranger's baby who tumbled onto his face on the sidewalk right in front of me. His poor little face was all scrunched up ready to cry, but I kneeled down and said, "Oh no! But... you're OK, right?" I added a big confident smile that said I thought he was fine. And the most beautiful sunny smile broke out on his face and yeah, he was just fine, and he thought his outing with Mom was still a wonderful adventure.

So I'm a big fan of acting as though all is well with the wee ones. If they're not, they will definitely let you know. Overreacting seems to just feed their paranoia and sadness.

(Crosses fingers for JZ to get the Good Job that will send Matilda to any college she chooses to grace with her presence)
