Any good advice for a response if for some reason I am asked to pay? I hate confrontation.
"I was under the impression that the client should not be asked to pay for correcting the stylist's mistake. If that's the case, I would have gone elsewhere, and will do so in the future"
Love the tatoo! Popping out again because work is kicking my ass.
My brother has 2 amazing lotuses (loti?) on his feet. One on each foot. The right is red and the left is blue. He said they hurt more than any other tat he's gotten, because the top of the foot doesn't have any fat padding. And then there's the part where he lives in Vermont, so he has to wear shoes and socks whenever he goes outside. Or to work. So they took longer to heal than they would have if they were anywhere else, but they're gorgeous.
I respect the hell out of his pain tolerance.
Oh, and that tat is fantastic Juliana.
I'm back from the hairdressers. She didn't charge me, but I don't think I am pleased with the color, so I'm not sure I'll be going back there. We'll see how it looks in a couple days.
juliana, that is a gorgeous tattoo. Absolutely beautiful.
(I'm not really here. I'm about to go to my meeting with HR to talk about Kinda-Stalker-Guy. Only a
week
after I first emailed HR about it ...)
Aimee, I think you should send something formal, printed - not an email. Keep a copy.
juliana, that is amazing. Cannot wait to see it when it is finished as well.
Jilli, sending ~ma for the meeting. I hope it is taken care of with no further stress for you.
Holy shit, juliana! That is gorgeous! You are reminding me that I need to reschedule my appointment with a tattoo artist to design my tattoo, then think about getting it. Which, I’m thinking, will require an awful lot of Ativan!
Aimee, I’d like to say I’m shocked by your exboss’s behavior, but I’m not. I think you hit it on the nose—he’s hoping you’ll move and forget. Don’t.
sj, I'm sorry you're still not pleased with your hair. Glad you didn't have to pay for it, though.
Good luck, Jilli! Sending you many vibes. Let us know how it goes.
I had an absolutely lovely lunch with Nora. Thanks, babe! It was great to see you, and we had good talky meat today.
And, relatedly (although, I won’t share how it’s related :) ), I am home from spending way too much money on a pair of shoes and yarn. The shoes were desperately needed, but I spent more than I wanted to. The yarn, on the other hand, was not needed, but was on sale, and so I couldn’t resist. With the yarn, I will be making the following for peanut, the neicephew:

The main color yarn is purple, and the trim is a really beautiful, fluffy, creamy yellow. I think the rest of my day is shot for anything that does not require playing with yarn.
