Huh. Just called up for a doctor's appointment (regular check-up time), and I was told the clinic I go to closed three weeks ago. And then, in a google search for my doctor (with whom I've had a good rapport), I find that eight years ago he was fined a fairly hefty sum for medical fraud, basically using scare tactics to overservice patients. This is an odd day.

I think my Tivo has some sort of hard disk problem. Nothing is working to fix it. I'm going to call Tivo tech support tomorrow to see if they've got anything I can try. I really hope it's not dead -- I've got a lifetime subscription, and it would suck to start having to pay monthly.

BT--I had a former dentist get arrested for using drugs in his office. Finding something like that out is an oddly disquieting feeling.
