Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Why isn't time going faster?!

Bev and Suzi, that is so awesome for your moms. I am glad that things are getting better and that both of you are getting some relief.

My siblings and I are very fotunate in that our parents already told us, "When it gets to be that time, call the nursing home. We don't want to live with you all." We'll see if it actually happens as I think my brother might be the one to balk if it actually comes up.

Oh, Bev and Suzi, that's wonderful news!

Am home from Harvard. Found out that last talk I did there caused someone to seek help. The teacher's exact words? "You're an inspiration to these students. They don't only learn from you; you change their lives."

Sniff. I change lives!

Someone point me back to this post when I'm all helpless and worthless feeling.

Also, teacher and supervising shrink? Want to see my book when it's done. They think they can help get it published. They loved the part I read to the class today.

Shit. It's been a good day. How'd that happen?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Go vw!

What is even happening?

Oh vw, I'm so glad you went. Do you feel good about it? You read like you do.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

vw, you do change lives. No doubt about it.

Do you feel good about it?

Yeah, I really do. They asked great questions that showed they were really trying to understand. It was good. It feels really good to be a part of offering understanding about this tough illness, you know? And we're catching them early, before they're really getting a lot of the stereotypes from their rotations and residencies. So, they get to see someone and have a face next to the diagnosis, so they can dismiss negative comments, and say, "Well, that hasn't been my experience." It really is kind of getting a whole new set of ideas out there with a new generation of treatment providers. It's kind of cool to be a part of it.

Also, having that level of professor tell me that my writing is really wonderful and articulate and needed is a HUGE ego-booster!

And now I'm gonna order BBQ takeout to be delivered and watch Desperate Housewives for the rest of the night.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, vw!!! That is all great news, though not surprising.

Bev and Suzi, I'm glad your mom's are doing better.

Word of advice? Try not to be an only child. The decisions are hard.

Damn. I'm screwed.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh, it's so good to read the GREAT news from Bev & Suzi & vw. YAY!!!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The teacher's exact words? "You're an inspiration to these students. They don't only learn from you; you change their lives."

I think you have a new tag.
