Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Ok. I'm on the phone with the bank right now, and they'll close it out today. It'll be kind of a pain till the new one gets here, but I think this is the best option at this time.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think that is definitely the right thing to do, vw. Although I use my debit card for absolutely everything, so I can sympathize with the inconvenience.

not your mom's socks.

poor Owen! feel better!

Dear Flora: Quit screwing around, or, hey, here's an idea: GET A ROOM. I can't breathe, see, or think. I worry that my cousin thinks her sneezing was due to my dog and shoddy housekeeping skills - and not your 56-foot tall friend just outside. Seriously - A nice, vaccum-sealed room. Don't make me get the roundup. Or pull out my Pave the Bay bumpersticker. Sincerely, The Fauna

I'm all there with the compresses too - they rock.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Hell, my furnace is still on and there's new snow in the mountains. Plus there's rampant plant sex.

We still had the heat on as of last week when the east coast was hit by that Nor'easter. Our poor HVAC unit must think it has a split personality.

Oak pollen is 2226 here today. I'm going to have a miserable husband tonight; he forgot to take his allergy meds this morning.

It would be far more inconvenient for all of my money to disappear!

Wrod. I'd rather *gasp* write a check to myself or actually step foot in the bank than go through the hassle of having the bank replace what could be taken. Bank and money~ma to the bug.

To be fair, I don't know if the problem is on the owners side or the real estate agents part. He's kind of forgetful, so he may not have let me know what the owners have said.

It's still not cool to leave you hanging, no matter who it is. You are potentially missing out on other places while you wait for someone to remember to tell you what the hell's going on. I would push the agent for a substantive update.

I would if I could get him to answer the frelling phone.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Seriously - A nice, vaccum-sealed room.

I have as close as you can get. All the air in my house comes through a filter on the heat pump. People talk about being happy to sleep with the windows open, but it's not for me. Outside air bad.

My power went out for about 20 minutes two hours ago. I have all the annoyance of having to find out why my UPS on the computer didn't kick in and resetting most of my electronics, plus extra added noise. The house alarm three doors down was apparently set off by the power outage. I'm about to spork out my ears.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Clearly, you should be out here for 10 days.

Clearly. Ya'll could do a round robin as to who houses me for a few nights!

Freecycle is awesome. I am feeling some of the stress and freak-out leaving as we speak. People come, open their trunks, and take your junk. FOR FREE.

I almost like it better than a tag sale.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Best wishes for data recovery, Ginger.

megan!! Whoo!!!! I'd be more than happy to help you look, but I'll be out of town the second weekend. However, if you want to use my apartment as a crash pad, you're more than welcome to.
