Home schooling? You know, it's not just for scary religious people anymore.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

While I had some good times in high school, overall, it really sucked. While I've had some hard times since, life has generally improved since. With all the raging hormones and uncertainties, knowing not to behave like a kid anymore, but not yet sure of how to behave like an adult, adolescence was really awful, at least for me.

I always feel a little bit jealous but a lot of sympathy for people who say that high school was the best time.

Our wings are not tired

Junior High was not a lot of fun but I had a great time in High School and in most of college and in grad school. Actually on the whole I pretty much have had good years. Even when things suck I try to let that only be a short term thing.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think I'm still waiting, though I've had my moments.

The status is NOT quo.

Drew's comment makes me happy. Good match, he is.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Back from seeing The Stooges with Emmett (his first concert) and my best friend since high school, Alex.

I warned Emmett ahead of time, "It's going to be loud. You'll be able to feel the bass drum in your chest. The bass will be so low it'll hit you the belly and make you feel like you have to take a crap!"

Thirty seconds into the first song, "Dad! I've got to take a poo!"

Appropriately enough the first song was "Loose."

Anyway, we didn't miss but half a song and Emmett was thoroughly impressed with Iggy's maniacal splendour.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Having a house concert has to be the coolest thing. at least one person is astonished - or even awed by the event. Musician makes money and find a new fan base. audience hears amazing music . Neighbors, some of whom have never met, find a new common ground. plus, wine.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

They are back. Loud, bubbly, and hungry. They are trying to decide which after party is the least "hot". So far most are just heading home. But half are still lingering...

Sounds like the concert was a lot of fun David. Please tell me that Emmett was wearing hearing protection. I always worry about young ears getting damaged.

So these are the best years of my life. Perpetually, dammit.

Wrod. There's always something best.

Although, seriously, junior high sucked diseased donkey cock.
