It is SO nice in KC today! I met an out-of-town friend at the salon a block away and got my brows done while she had a pedi. Then, my work friend called; she was about 2 blocks away and wanted me to meet her new BF. So I combined the two friendages and we had FAB MExican food on an outdoor patio right by my house. Perfect weather, a couple of margaritas, the new BF was very nice and funny and easy to talk to....the most relaxing, social Sat. afternoon I have had for a long time.
I am going to a get-together with OOT friend at another friend's house in about 3 hours. I think I might dye my hair, shower and watch "Firefly" Netflix till then.
Yeah, Saturday!!!

I have the house to myself!!!!! OMG. This morning it was full of Daisy Jane and buffistas galore. Wonderful fun. Then we started the pre-prom drama. Mom (me) couldn't get K-Bug's hair just right so the wild women of North Beach (DJ and juliana with other occasional helpers) did her hair. Then the boyfriend showed up. Then the buffista crowd left and serious prom-prepping happened while CJ got ready for his little league game and mom (my mom) got ready to go out to dinner with some of her friends.
So now, the teens are gone to the high school for pictures, DH and CJ are off for baseball, mom is out for dinner, the house has been reset from brunch and I'm pooped.
Next is 23 teens and assorted parents, plus $200 worth of Chinese food arriving at my house around 5pm. Then two limos showing up at 6:45. Oy and vey.
After that - I'm off to North Beach for the night. But right now? Can I nap?
