Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Also, while I was out, I checked out a salon/spa in the square and made an appointment to get my hair cut and get a spa pedicure next Saturday. I probably shouldn't, but I feel like it anyways.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

wait, she's not with them? they're coming to your apartment alone?

They're coming in with a real estate agent, which was not what we agreed to when we moved in.

The apartment this morning was nice. It didn't have a dishwasher, but the owner was willing to put a portable one in. Does anyone have experience with portable dishwashers? It had a nice amount of space, but no off street parking. However, there was plenty of street parking.

I'm very much looking for the house tonight. A whole house all to ourselves! But, if it doesn't work out, then we'll take the one we saw today. We're just done with all of this looking.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

sudden nap attack I think it had something to do with a warm laptop in my lap. House is almost ready for the concert, just some furniture moving to do.

Because books.

My parents had a portable dishwasher, sj. It's no big deal as long as there's room to park it somewhere when it's not in use. It just hooks up to the faucet with a hose. Creates extra counter space, too.

Yay, vw!

sounds good sj - and a portable works. Better for two than a family of five, but it works

Thanks, AmyLiz and Beth! Will I be able to move it, do you think, or will that end up being TCG's job? There's plenty of room for it in the kitchen, so that shouldn't be a problem.

They're usually not too bad to move, sj. They're on wheels. But, when it's full, it might be a little heavy. You'd probably just have to try it...

It's really nice, though, that the landlord is offering to do that. It bodes well...

It really does. She was a sweetheart, and was even willing to sign something to say she wouldn't try to sell for a couple of years. She owns a few properties, and doesn't plan on getting out of the property owning business until she retires in four years. She made a point of saying she takes care of the lawn, snow, etc.
