Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm missed you KB. It was wonderful to read that we will be seeing you in Atlanta in 2 weeks. Whee!

How's it going?

sj, I hope that you and TCG find something this weekend. It must be very frustrating to be unsettled this way.

I really should be working. Must work if I want to play.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Katieeeeee!!

The thing I love is just reaching over while the mom is on the phone and parallel parking her cart to give room for other carts to get by--while the kid with the pacifier in the jumpseat stares me down. Lots of times they're so caught up in phone drama they don't even notice. I could take the kid for a spin down the dogfood aisle, with a detour through frozen entrees before they twigged that something might be missing.

Ooops, I misread you Beverly and thought that you were moving your mom's cart to mess with her while she was on the phone. Then there was the kid, and I reread. But yeah, I can see doing that to the kid's mom. Not so much your mom.

I have occasionally committed the sin of parking my cart in the middle of the aisle I am very apologetic if I do and end up in someone's way. O f course, a few weeks ago I stole someone cart. and went two aisles before I noticed that I grabbed the wrong cart. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, I couldn't figure out why half the stuff was stuff I don't buy.

Herding cats for fun

(laughs) That's funny. I'd be all, but I don't remember picking up fried pork rinds and Budweiser.... how can this be?

Goodnight Buffistas. Catch y'all on the flip side.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I've been on both ends of the cart-swipe. They all look the same! Everyone whose cart I have inadvertently stolen has always been very nice about it, but it is embarassing.

Yeah, I've done the cart swipe. First thought is that the boys have tossed unwanted stuff in my cart, then ooops.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

SO jealous of the Daisyfest in SF. Hope you're having a wonderful time!

We did!

Daisy Jane is perfectly Daisy Jane in person. Very easy and fun to hang with her all day. After we got back from the museum I had her feed Matilda while I made us quesadilla. Then we went downtown and hung out at City Lights Books until Juliana got off work.

Then drinks then Italian food (Juliana picked up the tab), and the Zmayhemi left the party girls to wreck North Beach under their own power.
