Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks, but I'm pretty certain that all I really need is some rest right now. Fever's gone, and breathing is easier. I only have one scheduled thing tomorrow, and it's something that I can postpone if I need to, so I'm going to try just resting tomorrow and see how I feel then. (And, um, I'll figure out when to do that extra grading. I'd had my week so perfectly scheduled.)
You know, Le Creuset makes more than one pot. Your mom will just have to get a little creative. Make sure she knows the color to match.
I do want a large oval one for roasting a chicken, but I want a different color. Most of my kitchen stuff is blue and yellow, so I have a blue one now and I want a yellow one.
I sent a note to one of the big wigs in a different department expressing interest in shifting to that group and asking for information. I got a prompt e-mail back asking about setting up a time to talk next week.
Yay, Suz! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Ok, well, I guess I've complained about work too much for a mini-squee to mean anything.
I just got online! I swear! Wishing you travel ~ma for a safe trip there and back. And definitely pack some fernet.
Every kind of ~ma I can think of for Sean and S. {{{{Sean}}}}
eta: Happy Birthday, Beth!!!
I have a friend who is collecting Le Crueset in many different colors. It's like a sickness. (There's a Le Crueset store at the local outlet mall.)
I have the Le Crueset soup pot, and it's the best thing ever. I also have a Le Crueset stonware casserole dish that's shaped like a heart. Every time I use it (which isn't often enough), it makes me happy.
We have stopped adding to our Le Creuset collection which makes me sort of sad... but there's a lot of other stuff I want to spend money on for pots! Up next: a nice sturdy oven safe nonstick skillet. Then I think we are maybe OK for a while between the Le Creuset, the regular cast-iron, and the couple pieces of clad cookware and a couple cheap ass non sticks from Target for like $6 that we knock around like our bitches.
Will probably need to replace our saucepans, we're working on some seriously old ones right now, but were the first "nice" pots I ever bought new. But of course they are cheap but quite useable and I can't bear to throw away perfectly good pots, however ugly and cheap looking.
Man, I'm tired and babbling about cookware. My brain... is not all here.
~ma to Suzi getting into a new dept- that is super cool that you got such a quick response. ~ma ~ma ~ma ~ma.
Suzi, tons of job~ma to you! I thought I had commented earlier, but I guess it was only in my head.
~~~~~~ma ma ma ~~~~~~ for Suzi getting into a new department.
I am tired, like woah. Met a friend and her daughter at Ben & Jerry's for Free Cone Day. The dippers were the young, hot, fresh out of the academy firefighters.
I went back for seconds.
After that, we went to the LA Zoo and walked and ran like maniacs. Finally got home and I am just wiped. out.
But it was a Good Day.
Nora, you still around? Could you jump on gmail?
