Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

P-C, I'm sorry about the marathon. I'm still proud of you for trying and for all the money you raised.

ION, we just got back from the tax preparers and lunch. We're getting refunds from both the State and the Feds, and I ate too much. My mum has the kids, because Chris had his first baseball practice while we were out doing our taxes. I believe she's taking them to lunch after, too. I'm kind of surprised they're not home yet.

Ben got his report card, yesterday. All A and B grades. He got no grade in Art. Apparently nobody got a grade in Art. His homeroom teacher says the art teacher will send the grades out separately, laterly on. I don't know what's up with the art teacher.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

serious Lily is so gorgeous

This face is achieved by, I swear, saying, "Lily, make your Serious Face!"

And then she does, totally mocking/mimicking MY Serious Face.

Poor Boo. She spiked a fever last night, and was very uncomfortable. This morning, she was comfortable and chipper when standing, uncomfortable when down. So we took her in to the pediatrician, and sure enough (as suspected), her ear infection didn't clear up on just the amox (she finished her course on Wednesday night), so it's back on antibiotics for her.

I'm getting the pig!

P-C, you raised a LOT of money for a great cause. Plus, no one can say that you didn't try to do what you set out to do. All quite admirable, in my book. Try not to beat yourself up.

Poor Lily. May she feel better soon.

Lack of food hasn't inspired me to shower and leave the house. Lack of food has inspired me to read and possibly nap. Maybe I'll be hungry enough to shower later. Stay tuned!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

"Prepare Yourself!
Expect the worst!
The purplest baby
In the Universe!"

NUH UH. I dey utterly that I sang this. I in fact sang, as is right and proper:

"Take a good look!
Prepare for the worst!
The purplest baby
In the Universe!"

Hec misquoted me because he has never seen The Tall Guy. Which is nigh impossible to believe, given his short hair fetish and love of Emma Thompson, but there you go.

Franny and Isaac are so damn cute and sparkly and bursting with personality! The only thing wrong with those pictures is that there are only 6 of them.

{{P-C}} Rest your splinty limbs and please don't beat yourself up. The marathon is an awesome goal, but the money-raising is the most important part.

Poor sick Lily! Ear infections are a world of no fun.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Raising money for a good cause is an admirable accomplishment. There will be more marathons in the future. Rest and you will be ready for them.

No sick babies. I so declare it.

Homework progress - assignment 1 of 4 done. Break time?

Tournament report - K-Bug's team won their first game. Well, they were winning when it got called for rain. The second game got just plain called for rain. After their awful performance in pool play, they were fighting for 13-16th place anyway...so they probably tied for 13th.

Her team did get a slight mention in the Chron regarding one of yesterday's games- "Mitty came in as the top gun -- The Chronicle's No. 1 ranked team and rated 23rd nationally by studentsports.com -- and after a humbling 2-1 win over Alameda earlier in the day, the Monarchs (12-1) unleashed a relentless hitting barrage that featured a two-run double from Ricketts and a two-run triple by Notre Dame-bound shortstop Katie Fleury."

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This face is achieved by, I swear, saying, "Lily, make your Serious Face!"
Does she still have Sushi, the fish?

Mom was asking about her today so I was telling her all about our visit and how that wee girl she met is now TWO! She's enthralled, as we all are.

Mostly lurking...

I'm home from running errands with a friend. I got a rolly suitcase for my sewing machine on wicked clearance. I'm very excited about this fact.

I also forgot to buy myself my frozen dinners to live off of for the next week. Sometimes I'm really not with it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry about the marathon, P-C, but you shouldn't be anything but proud of yourself.

TCG and my worlds' are colliding tonight. We're having dinner with my mom, stepdad, and grandfather and his dad and stepmom. They've never met before. I think things are going to go fine, but I won't turn down any everyone-get-along~ma.

I think I have lost my ability to whip out the homework. The stuff I'm trying to do this weekend is taking me for-freaking-ever.

The status is NOT quo.

Announcement: I got a great night's sleep last night and woke up rested!

Analysis: I should get a little drunk off martinis every night before bed. Hm.
