Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What round-cheeked bundles of happiness!

The lung/sinus gombu finds me at home, which is nice, because I've just slept four hours past my normal wakeup, bundled in my bathrobe and hangin' wit' da bitches. However, breathing has become more of a deliberate activity than normal. God bless Tylenol Sinus Severe Congestion. Drugs are go-o-od.

Ann, that's a ferret.

It's cute, vw, especially for a quilt for a small child. However, is there enough left for the whole quilt? (Only 2-1/8 yards left.)

Hey. New board.

Hi guys! Long time, no read. I've been bad about that lately.

Last hundred posts meara:

WHEEE!!! I've become SUPER obsessed with it during the last couple of weeks (after watching all of seasons 1 & 2 via netflix)

lisah is me. The episode that aired last night was pretty awesome, though I wanted more Pam/Jim. Because I always want more Pam/Jim.

I also recently discovered 30 Rock and it makes me hurt laughing. Not nearly as compelling long-story-wise as The Office or Arrested Development, but more consistently jokey-hilarious.

Daisy Jane, I reacted the same way. I can't quite imagine telling my boss, "Oh, sorry I'm late, but there was this virtuoso with a Strad busking in the station....no, really! I'm not making it up!"

My boss would probably be cool with that. Well, not if I were ACTUALLY late, but since I normally get to work about 2 hours early, I think I'd probably spare a few and take a 5-minutes-later train IF I noticed that the busker was something special. That said, I probably wouldn't notice, for all the human-wallpaper reasons that were discussed. I'd be much more likely to stop and listen and buy CDs if he were in a park or a courtyard or a square - somewhere I might actually be interested in relaxing and listening.

ION, I think there is a dwarf trying to pickaxe his way out of my upper back. Someone needs to give Gimli a new friggin' movie contract.

Hee. Didn't you know? They're filming a movie in your upper back.

Ooh, the starburst jelly beans are GOOD!

Yes they are. (Awesome, I'm mearaing a meara.)

Could you grab my eyes while you're down there? I think they rolled out of my head.

Hee again!

I'd appreciate it if my lungs would stop trying to escape.

I am Spartacus Hil.

STG I watched a mini-tornado rip through our backyard. The wind was so crazy fast and bad that it actually blew the garage doors open.

AWESOME. I mean, it would suck if you were hurt, but since you weren't... AWESOME.

Aims, I TOLD you to stop listening to Wicked.

Hee! Yeah, man. Switch to Spring Awakening. It might give you sex dreams, but it won't make the tornadoes attack.

Happy birthday, Princess Tickybox! You're a toddler now!

YAY Baby Birthdays! Happy Birthday Tickybox. How cool is it to get birthday wishes from so many internet people?

Yeah, and on Friday the Thirteenth Eve.

Dude, I didn't even notice that. Sweet.

new twin pictures!

That much cuteness should be illegal. Seriously. It made me cough.

What is the square root of 12,345,678,987,654,321?

Oh dear god, this is going to drive me crazy. There's definitely a trick to it. I will figure it out. (I know that the last digit is either a 1 or a 9! That's... impressive... right?)

Oh wait! Let me... yes! I found the answer. Math is cool.

ION, I'm sick. Sore throat, exhausted, achy all over. Just want to lie on the couch and eat soup all day.

Again, I am Hil. I called in sick today, after two days of hell-in-class. I'm actually being productive anyway and doing a full-fledged cleaning. Bathroom and living room are done. Kitchen floor has been mopped, and a first layer of wax put down. I'm about to add a second layer. I've never waxed before, but it seems to be not-too-difficult. I'll be finished in an hour (except for my room, which I'll probably put off 'til tomorrow), and then will proceed to sit around for the rest of the afternoon. I'm supposed to see Les Miserables this evening, and want to feel better enough to enjoy it.

now, now, I want you to feel guilty, but that's no reason to mess up your hair!

This should be be a tagline. For somebody.

Phew!

For those that were discussing The Dixie Chicks a couple of months back - thank you! I bought their album, and I really do quite love it. I just finished listening to it for the tenth or so time - it was good cleaning music.

The message board I created for Spring Awakening is kind of a big hit, which is a big part of why I haven't been around here as (continued...)

Hey. New board.

( continues...) much - I'm spending too much time there. We just hit 500 registered members (which is pretty big for a Broadway musical this young), were mentioned in Rolling Stone (apparently the composer, Duncan Sheik, likes our community's name and so is a supporter-in-email), and have received confirmation that several of the cast members lurk regularly. It's an interesting place - a lot younger-skewed than here, as might be expected, leading to a lot of misspellings and LOLs and smileys. Which can get annoying. But most of the kids are intelligent and interesting teens, so it's a great place to moderate. It's kind of like being a counselor at a summer camp for theater kids, without the physical liability. I roll my eyes fairly regularly, but usually with a smile.

I have to go put on my second layer of wax now. This post has been sufficiently rambly anyhow.

Tomorrow she'll be asking for the car, Plei. Be warned.

And I suddenly flashed on how old I'll be when the Buffista Babies become Buffistas Kids and Buffista Teens, and I'm wondering if I'll still be in contact with you all to hear about Emeline's first date and all.

I'll blame the cold.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy b-day, Lillian!!!

Aims, did you get power back yet? Ours was out from before we got home yesterday (around 5:30PM) and it was still off when I left this morning (8:30). We're worried about our fish, who've been without their filter for many hourse... Today was Hat Day since I couldn't dry my hair. It's a newsboy cap with a Chococat patch on it, so things could be worse.

Edited because worsel is not a word.

probably. Of course, by then, we'll all be wearing sunglasses that have the internet in them, that we navigate through our thoughts.

I realized that I have been a Buffista for 10 years. I started back on Salon in 1997-1998. I remember Holli being stood up for the prom (still mad), and countless graduations and school acceptances, and . . . God, I love this place

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aims, I TOLD you to stop listening to Wicked.

Oh well, damn.

Guess I'll have to toss in "Hairspray" today.

GC, yeah, we got ours back just after 8 last night. Poor fishies!!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Felicitations, Lillian, on the second anniversary of your Natal Day! It seems mere moments, in a way, since you were eagerly anticipated, and forever in another way, since you've been a force for smiles and gurgles among us.

Wishing you a splendid day, and a year full of discovery and mastery, as you generate smiles and happiness around you.
