Stupid rain. They cancelled the Red Sox game today, and I was really looking forward to it.

There are bound to be videos of it on YouTube, lisa. The first few minutes with Roy attacking Jim, and Dwight coming to the rescue with pepper spray are probably out there. A lot of times, people post the entire episode (in pieces) and they stay up until they get caught. I'd just search for "The Office The Negotiation" and see what you get.

There were other scenes with Dwight and all his weapons, too.

It broke my heart too, by the way. I started to recap it in my LJ, but it's really hard (for me, anyhow) to be entertaining when writing about a comedy. But I was totally calling Jim * Halpermort, because he hurt my BFF's feelings.

Maybe I'm just being overly cranky, but that article rubs me the wrong way. (Not just cause it kept crashing Safari). Dude. It was morning rush hour. Try me around noon on a weekend.

Daisy Jane, I reacted the same way. I can't quite imagine telling my boss, "Oh, sorry I'm late, but there was this virtuoso with a Strad busking in the station....no, really! I'm not making it up!"

Sometimes you have to hurry to make it to work to keep the job that brings in money to keep you fed and in a home, and if that means you zip past some seriously amazing music, then you do. It doesn't necessarily mean you're a philistine who just doesn't appreciate good music.

There's also an ep where Jim is guessing Dwight's passwords. But I can't remember which it is.

That's part of why I'd love to see this repeated at other stop or in other cities, or hell, just on different days. The documentary Touch the Sound, about nearly deaf percussionist Evelyn Glennie, features one segment with her cracking out an extended snare solo in a train or subway station that draws quite a crowd. Sure, the circumstances are completely different, but it's an example of how changing any (or in this case all) of the variables will produce a different result.

I think a data pool of essentially one datum is too small.

lisa, that's where the show is so good at what it does. I completely understand Jim, and likely would have acted the same way, and knew he wasn't trying to be a bad guy. I am so impressed with how they've handled this not-a-romance-romance for so long. Jim, Pam, Karen, Roy -- they've all acted in understandable ways. It might make you shout at your TV, but in a good way, not a head thunking way. And all four of them are at least somewhat sympathetic (to me, anyhow).

Well, yeah, I've started watching Season Three but I've missed a lot.

Thanks for all the ~ma, folks. I'm guessing I'll get the actual offer some time next week. I honestly don't know if I'm hoping it's too good to turn down. Don't need more stress, but man....the money....well, the money would be very nice. And would reduce a lot of financial stress.
