Pretty pictures! Jilli, your dress was beyond perfect, and you and Cass looked HOTT!
Yeah, I'm just the convient alibi for everyone. We were having tea at the time.
I know I have expressed this wish before, but I so want a Gothic tea party with Jilli.
I love this Jilli & Cass pic: [link]
The photographer at the Vampire Ball was fantastic. Those are some of the best photos that have ever been taken of me. And I now have a list of people who want to flirt shamelessly with meet Cass the next time she's in Seattle!
Welcome, Sox!
I've seen the Jilli/Cass pictures several times and keep having to pick my jaw up from off the ground. GUH.
I wish I could say the violinist story surprised me, but it totally doesn't.
In meme news...so I just met with Big Boss, and she is crunching numbers to see what kind of an offer they can make me. She gave me some important assurances if I do take on the 5th class, though:
- She would move my room closer to the rest of my department and would not have me share the room with anyone else.
- I wouldn't be expected to sub or proctor except in the event of an emergency. (Take THAT, Officious Admin Assistant!)
- I would be guaranteed two preps: four sections of 9th (which is exactly what I taught this year) and one section of my new AP Women's Lit.
- She would work to keep my class sizes down.
This is sounding like a really good deal. She also flattered the heck out of me about how she and my department head have complete confidence in my abilities and really would rather pay me for a fifth class rather than hire someone else part-time. Now it's just a Jerry Maguire thing: SHOW ME THE MONEY and we shall see.

If the money is good, that does sound like a great deal, Kristin. Teaching four of the same year makes things easier, right? That's less lesson plans for you to do than if you had five different classes, right?
I hope that offer works out Kristin!
Yay! Getting my hair done at 7:00! Now I'll be all prettified for SF!
I've got a Baltimore obsession, but that doesn't count.
Late to the party but The Office: Aw, Jim and Pam kissage. Also loved that Pam went to her mom for advice. So many characters don't even like their parents.
That's really cool, Kristin! I hope it works out for you.
And, yay, Erika's seen "Casino Night"!
