Sparky, you are a humanitarian and a saint.
Sox, I'm naturally a night owl and could stay up to 2:00 and be perfectly happy. Over time, I had to realize that was my old life and I just couldn't do it with kids in the house. Once I started going to sleep earlier, it was much easier to deal with a morning baby. It was hard to get used to at first, but now I pass out wherever I am, if I don't get myself to bed.
DH told me before he left for work that he broke down and brought Owen downstairs around 6 a.m. He cried for a few minutes but when he calmed down he sniffed, "I'm ready to go to bed." Gah. We'll get through it, I'm sure. But these night time disruptions make for very long, tiring days.
Speaking of, Ima go wake up Prince Charming right now so he doesn't sleep the morning away.
Ooof. Good luck. I hope he's not too cranky for you, today.

I like other people's children! And it would give me a chance to rummage around in Sox's closet and try on all her stuff.
but now I pass out wherever I am, if I don't get myself to bed.
ha - I'm with you. Good luck Cashmere!
Sparky, you are a saint. That would be too cool.
for sarameg - and meara, sparky, Vortex, et al - if there's a chance I could talk a pal into a buffy night in the lounge/movie viewing area of his restaurant, is there interest? He's more the Donnie Darko type, but he might be swayed.
Yesterday there was a giant hole in my yard. Today, they're cutting up the chunks of sidewalk left on my yard, presumably to take them away and not as an exercise in concrete sculpture. It sounds like a giant dentist's drill. Also, the sniffling and sore throat that I thought was allergies is now clearly a cold. It feels like they're drilling into my sinuses.
Whine.
Poor you, Ginger. Maybe a peep would make you feel better. (I know that when I have a cold, all I can taste are sweets, so I eat a lot of 'em.)
Sox, you might post that offer in the F2F thread -- less likely to get skipped and skimmed there.
Man, Ginger, you need Calgon to take you away. I hate it when random sidewalk/street work is going on outside my house. And being sick on top of it sucks.
Now they have jackhammers.
{{{Ginger}}} That sucks. I hope they go away and that you feel better soon.

sure! you're much more likely to get to b'more on a weekend, tho.
Staying home sick for me was a pretty dicy proposition, due to the auto mechanics that are directly behind our yard. I'm a bit more used to it now, but it is a PITA.
Which is my way of saying, oof, Ginger, that totally sucks.
Today I have decided that I like Rita and Iris as names for a potential daughter. I interviewed a woman named Rita and the Sox came in talking about her cool-name-having sprog.
