Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Shin splint, maybe?

That's a possibility as well. I hope it's just that. I have a feeling that whatever it is, I won't be able to run the 14 miles this Saturday, which is our halfway point milestone run that I was really looking forward to accomplishing.

P-C is one of the coaches/mentor types you're practicing with named Andrew? Strawberry blonde? Law prof?

I don't think so.

Happy birthday, Owen! (Even if I refuse to believe you're three.)

(Of course, I'm in similar denial about Tickybox turning two on Friday.)

Yay, Sox with the Manolos! They were coooool.

thoughts of the moment: i do not want babies biting my boobies.

My flight out of MSP is delayed two hours. So much for getting home at any kind of decent time--probably more like 11pm or later now. BOOOOO.

t shallow So, remember when I was talking about being an elitist gothy snob about clothes I was looking at?

I really like this outfit. [link]

(And the skirt and top are available separately.)

Do I want to bite the bullet and spend the $$ for the outfit, knowing full well that a bunch of other Victorian goth girls will also be taking it to the event? Do I want to spend (slightly) less and just get the skirt and add more trim to it?

Yes, this is how I'm distracting myself today. But I need advice.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So if I happened to acquire nine extra of this button, could I pawn them off on anyone around here?

BWAHAHAHA!

You know, I'd wear that in public.

How flattering do you think the top would be? I'd be concerned about that cut/detailing on a large bustline. Do you have things that are identical in terms of where the trim would be?

Gooooood point. I have no idea how flattering it would be. My brain shorted out at "Stripy Victorian top!"

Now tagless for your comfort.

I want that on a t-shirt.

Jilli, I love the outfit. Shocking lack of pink, though. (I'm assuming that's the trim you'd like to add.) I think you'd get a lot of use out of those separate pieces besides this event so it might be worth getting them both.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That rectangular bit on the top, I don't think that works. The skirt is pretty fabulous, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hey Jilli - I need a new messenger bag type thingie for my laptop and sleeve. Any luck with the Gothic Charm School messenger bags?
