Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

My library (and any other interested) Bitches: You have provided such good feedback on my Google paper. I am still working on it and would love any more insight that you could provide. I have posted my very rough draft on LJ (user name is fabby). Help mama!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm tired of my temp job so I told them this Friday was my last day.

On the plus side, they've been a very good place to work: Enlightened manager, flexible hours as necessary, accessible downtown commute, my own office (albeit tucked next to the elevator motor shaft so it hums and throbs), fair amount of responsibility to manage my workload. Downside: it's fairly dumb and boring work and doesn't pay that well even for a temp job.

Anyway, it's time for me to finish my book. I'm very eager to get back to it. In some ways it's been good to have some time away from it, but now I need to shift into high gear.
