Time for some thrilling heroics.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The short is still freaking me out a bit. I'm choosing to blame Hec for that part, but mostly I love it.

I choose to love it too, and will accept an sj picture in lieu of meara making out with Kristin.

I didn't know Megan had moved! Sorry. Good luck today, Emily. I'm sure you will look extra gorgeous.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Must... finish...annotation! Damn.

I took off today and Monday to wrestle with this bear and I'm SO CLOSE to finishing it up tomorrow and then just chillin' for 2 days.

Does anyone have any interest in giving it a once over (when I'm finished, hopefully tomorrow)? It's on the relative paucity of women university presidents.

The status is NOT quo.

Btw, Aims, not surprised by ExBoss's continued asshattery, but wanting to smite him nonetheless.

ND's gonna be sooooo pissed at you!

He's welcome to try fragging me. Who knows, with us playing Gears of War he might have a chance. You'll probably prefer the sound of video warfare to bad guitar playing, huh?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I kinda-sorta want a flat iron. But I keep not getting one because I suspect I would never get around to using it.

ION, I'm annoyed on the Empress' behalf about her ExBoss. Oh, and I'm annoyed with micromanaging and now don't want to do any work because of the micromanaging. And my office-mate and I keep closing the door to have paranoid discussions about the micromanaging and the "brainstorming" we're supposed to do about "team strategy", because the very first question on the list is "Why are we here?". Not a way to fill the worker bees with confidence, nope.

I'm sorry sweetie. Are you going to take some time on Saturday to do your resumé? You've been meaning to do it for a couple of weeks now.

Ugh. I probably should, even though I hatehatehate working on resumés.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

because the very first question on the list is "Why are we here?".

Two answers:

a) Because.

b) Because you pay me, fuckwit. Otherwise, I'd be happily sitting on my couch playing video games. Doi.

Huh. My section got a new boss a few months ago. He sent my branch an email that said "Your branch costs $xxx per year and I don't know what we're getting from that."

Now he's shocked because we've all quit.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Man, you really are desperate to not work, aren't you?

I told you!
