Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The sheets come back all lovely soft.

And covered with pollen.

brillig

And covered with pollen.

Not in my backyard. My sympathies for your polleny backyard.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

When I lived in Hollywood, Florida my mother would always hang sheets, towels, and jeans on the line. I always thought they were stiff and uncomfortable, and didn't particularly have that "sun-fresh" smell.

I've been taking all my massage sheets to the laundromat so I can do them all in one fell swoop. I learned not to leave liquid stuff in the car during the winter because it freezes, and I also learned that dryer sheets do not work well in those dryers. But the dry time is fantastic!

If I ever have my own true massage space, I am totally putting in a washer/dryer(s) like these. I also need minions, because I hate folding.

The status is NOT quo.

And covered with pollen.

And ash, if there's a fire nearby.

Loving billytea and biyitea, but no surprise there.

Always Anti-fascist!

State meeting weirdness: Somehow I ended up taking up most of "my" meeting pimping Gothic Charm School and Vampire People. This social worker is fannish. Huh.

This has usually been my experience too. They come out wonderfully when it's really windy though!

Dryer sheets can add a water resistant layer to clothes, so don't use them with towels.

Huh. I never knew this. I tend to use an extra dryer sheet with towels, because I like them to be extra soft. I haven't noticed a problem with wicking, but I can certainly imagine myself just not noticing. Or could. Now I'll notice, I'm sure.

What is even happening?

I just had a conference with Christopher's teacher, and then one with Julia's teacher. This was a total of 45 minutes hearing and being shown evidence of how smart, hard working, well behaved, sweet, nice, good and funny my children are.

I guess I didn't need that Ativan, beforehand, after all. I may actually be turning into a fluffy bunny as I type. Pink. And baby blue.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yaaaaay!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

If you're not in a pollen-filled zone, line dry until almost completely dry, then toss in the dryer for a quick fluff to get the best of both worlds.

I don't use fabric softener. The residue can be irritating, and I wash a lot of toddler clothing and diapers. Which means I use hippie laundry soap. No optical brighteners for me!

move out and draw fire

Clearly there's a time limit on parent-teacher conferences, because otherwise it would have been multiple hours of hearing how awesome your kids are!

ION, my friend's website that got mentioned in Wired a couple months ago just got namechecked in The Times. [link] That counts as "arriving," right?
