Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Juliana, how is it that you manage to look prettier in every picture you take? I love the new hair!

Seriously. HMOG, woman, did you make a pact with SATAN? Which is to say that I love the hair and the pic and rrrowwrr.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, so it turns out I can't win. My mom thinks the fifty-dollar gift card was too much. Because she doesn't think I gave my sister that much when, in fact, I did buy her two Cloud Watchers shirts that did cost...okay, it looks like they cost about $35. But they're what she wanted. And my mom gave me fifty bucks I didn't know what to do with. So I thought I was being clever. At least she approved of the flowers because my aunt like flowers. GOD. WHATTHEFUCKEVER. I quit this damn family.

She also thinks there's no point in doing this marathon and causing myself all this pain.

Always Anti-fascist!

Studying something hard always made me incredibly thirsty...does it take water to concentrate?(not that the meds aren't responsible, sj, just something I noticed in college.) Thrall report: Ok, so if a person needed a primer of baseball and was denied the traditional "learning it hanging with your dad" method, where could she go? (Although in Olbermann's case, I've read mom was the sport-o, which I thought was cool but also set my projecto-matic wondering about Daddy Issues.) Cause I watched one for a while today and did not know why the stuff the voice guys were talking about wasn't just guys catching the ball. But I know I am an ignorant heathen. But I could still tell Chicago had had better days.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Maybe it's a backhanded way of complimenting your generosity? From what you've said, P-C, your mom is not too good with the showing of approval...

Sometimes she says she's proud of me. That's always a nice phone call.

God, now I feel like a dick for not lavishing my brother and sister with expensive gifts and instead getting them things I knew they wanted and would appreciate, even though they weren't overly expensive.

Always Anti-fascist!

That is a completely crack-addled sentence.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Love the hair, juliana! And agree that you are stunning in that photo.

brillig

PC, are you going to be the recipient of similar largesse when the younger ones start their own careers? There's got to be a point where some of this starts flowing back.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

erika, as a former sports-hater undergoing a slow conversion to baseball, I found the Stewart O'Nan/Stephen King book Faithful to be an excellent, fun primer on the mechanics of the game, the layers of strategy involved in putting together a team, and the weird wild wankery of fannishness. If you'd like, email me your physical addy and I'll pop my copy in the mail to you.
