I know I'm a bad poet, but I'm a good man. All I ask is that... is that you try to see me—

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Actually that sounds kind of nice. Might relax my back a bit too.

What is even happening?

Daisy is a genius.

Well, now Ben has the stomach bug. Chris came down with it on Tuesday and was back in school on Friday (and mostly all right by Thursday, but I like to wait a day before I send them back to school). I was kind of hoping the rest of us had escaped unscathed.

Now the clock resets, and we wait to see who else will get it.

I thought I'd put those germs on notice! Stupid germs!

I know, but eryone had such a hard time here in March, that healthy little kids getting a mild stomach virus feels like a bit of a blessing.

Now if Mommy catches it...

I'm not a mother, but I imagine watching your little loved ones go through being sick is rather upsetting, even without the "fun" messiness of the bodily fluids. Our suckiness doesn't negate yours. ((((Cindy & Topic! family)))

Aw thanks, sweetie. My Bronzers have had as hard a time as Buffistas. I'm giving April a fair shot and the hairy eyeball, all at the same time.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Just got back from grocery shopping. And I have the same question I have every year after Passover shopping: Why does every grocery store, even the ones that don't have much Passover food beyond matzo and cakes, always have at least one, and usually two, brands of kosher for Passover hearts of palm? I don't understand this.

I've been meaning to scan this photo for K. Now that I've done it, I'll share with y'all too. This is chibi Heather and K at my Mimi's, in her chair under the quilt she made. [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I took the medication today. I feel oddly both sped up and slowed down. The sped up feeling may be partly because I had coffee this morning, which I don't usually do. I feel a little jittery, like I have too much nervous energy, but I am also having an easier time reading the paper today without getting distracted or feeling like I have to get up and do something else.
