Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I don't recall ever setting my hair afire. I've had short hair for more the 50% of my life, though, so it would have been difficult.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I've never done it before, mind. There was just a tealight in the wrong place.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The Cutest Gothy Hairdresser In The World -girl, or someone else?

Someone else. Blanking on her name. Tallish, slim, redhead. (Natural, from the look of it.)

But she had superthick hair with a slight wave, and therefore was the PERFECT person to work on my Crazy Oz Hair.

She was, to say it mildly, baffled at the previous cut. It made NO SENSE.

I am now covered in chemicals and a weird tulip cap and a long elastic-banded baggie.

Woo!

This is way too much fun.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Plei's so cute when she's having a good hair day.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Plei is always cute. Except when she's being saucy. Or HOTT. Or any number of other looks she pulls off with aplomb.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Back when I had long hippie hair

Damn, I would pay cash money to see pictures of Sean with long hippie hair (with bangs no less!).

And I'm very glad you didn't get more than barely singed, SA. Specially 'cause, judging from your flickr account, your current cut is very very cute.

Forty minutes to go at work. Please God, let the flood of Calls From The Fatally Stupid slow to a trickle.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

IOfeminiehygeineproductN I just got an email back from Stayfree saying thanks for the feedback, the scent of those products was researched and proven to be perfect and brilliant odor protection, and by the way we are sending you a coupon for more of our nasty smelly stuff.

That wasn't a direct quote, of course.

P.S. Very glad you didn't get badly hurt, SA. Hope your new haircut will be brilliant for you.

Our wings are not tired.

Years of smoking and long hair. Yes, there was fire from time to time. Also, hair burning smells bad.

Both boys got report cards today. Improvements on both counts. Now to see if we all live throught the last session.

Because books.

Ack, SA! I don't think I've ever set my hair on fire, but I have set menus on fire, more than once. And I've also leaned down with a lit cigarette in my mouth and burned my arm. Because I'm graceful like that.

Yay for Plei's lovely hair! Want pictures.

In more sucktastic news, my FiL learned today that the leaky valve in his heart requires surgery. Today can be over ANY TIME NOW.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Betsy, amyLiz, and Todd- so sorry.

Hearing the stories of other people's parents - so happy for mine. They seemed to understand that children should be raised to be independent adults. Close with my sisters. We don't talk all the time, but we can talk for hours. even dad ( which is confusing , because he didn't talk very much when we were growing up) I worry a bit that we will some day lose touch with the cousins, but something will work out. DH talks to his brothers often. , NSM his parents. Although his parents drive him crazy, they seem to have lost the worst of their power over him.
