Poor Matilda, shots and baby teeth in one day.
Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
We have baseball tonight, but no chance of rain. So homework before and after the game since we don't take away sports for school issues. Still on the fence on that call.
Good to hear that Matilda weathered the shots well enough. Teeth! Mine were really late with the first teeth. 18 months for Brendon and 15 for Bobby.
I love the first teeth gummy smile pictures - want some now!
I hope Matilda doesn't try the new teeth on her mommy.
We have sun and warmth. Had the kids out for a while this morning until Liv took a tumble off the steps and cracked the noggin. (She's totally fine.) We just had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and soon we're going back outside.
Aimee, you around?
Yay, new teeth!
Boo, shots!
Fay = Hott!

Happy birthday to K-bug!
Cash, grrr! Poor Mac, poor you, and WTF to your DH.
Oh, man, Nora. This round of ick has just been dragging on forever. Come on, Dr. Nora's Doctor! Be more Nora-fixy!
Argh, sj. I've been in in-over-your-head classes before; it's horribly disheartening. Until I hear otherwise, I'm vibing hard for you to have done better on that first test than you thought, and I'm positive that the language will get clearer and less dense as you get used to it.
juliana, if you do decide to ebay instead of consignment-store your stuff, you're welcome to borrow our digital camera.
Tep, you are indeed Sexxy -- and even if you feel like it's dressing up and playacting and not your true self, dude. Dressing up and playacting? TOTALLY sexy! Especially with the pleasure and wicked little sparkle with which you do it.
Such a beautiful new cut on a beautiful woman, Fay!
Raq, my brother could definitely recommend some Portland-area stuff besides Powell's. The last time I was up there, he took me to brunch at an amazing vegetarian restaurant in a beautifully restored Victorian in a vaguely sketchy section of town; and he's lived there long enough that he knows approximately a billion places besides. I'll be calling him tonight, so I can get more info then.
Matilda's doing much better today; oh, she was weary and disconsolate last night. I remembered what Stephanie had said a couple of months ago about Ellie's hospital stay and how when she was at her most miserable she'd breastfeed when she wouldn't take any other food, and I tried bf'ing Matilda (she's been bored to tears by the breast for almost a month now, wanting only expressed milk from a bottle). And, sure enough, she nestled up to me and nursed just like her wee long-ago 3-month-old self, curling up into a drowsy little ball on my belly and nodding off in midfeed. It nearly broke me.

Ooooh, Fay pictures!
Cashmere, I'm sorry to hear DH is being a twerp. I hope he gets over it, and soon.
Poor Matilda and the teething!
Aaaaaand, while these aren't *my* photos from the Vampire Ball, they're at least *some* photos: [link]
(Yes, there's one of me & Cass in there.)
I spent part of my morning talking to a reporter from the Toronto Sun. He was very nice, but it still felt kinda odd. Someone from the media! Interviewing me! eeeeep!

And now me too!
Thanks for the sympathies, y'all. I am trying to do all my stuff (exercise, school, research, writing, working, commuting, socializing) despite the ick, but I think I should cut back on my stuff and rest more. Tom is eyebrow raising at me about going to class tonight, but that I sort of really should do. But I may cancel gym plans tomorrow after work and also might take a bit of sick time to just rest. I can't think of anything else to do at this point. I guess trying to soldier on isn't doing me any favors at this point.
I am going to go with your instincts , Nora. REst as much as you can - only do what is nessacary. and skip the gym. you need to rest your physical body - and unless you feel a million times better after going to the gym, don't go.
I forgot to mention fay, but that is her haircut. smokin'!
ION, winter came back today. I knew it was colder, but I just didn't think it would be quite this cold.
