Re: Jilli's new outfit.
I'm not one for faint praise.
Which is why when I tell you that her new outfit is amazing you should believe me.
Oh yes, by crikey.
ION; I got my new specs and I am less than enthused with them. The focal point seems to be in a narrow vertical band, very narrow on the left lens. I'm going to give it a week but I suspect I will be returning them to my optometrist. We shall see.
FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!!
I can't get this pill down this god damned motherfucking cat's throat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sean, ask the vet if the pill can be crushed and mixed with something. My cat loves yogurt, so he'll take any pill as long as I can crush it up and mix it with a spoonful of yogurt.
Alternatively, there are compounding pharmacies that will make chewable chicken-flavored things that have the same medication in them as the pill.
Gettting better~ma for ND.
Damn, Sean. I really, really wish I could FedEx myself to you to help. Is your cat smart enough to get it, if you sat and explained that you need him to take the pill so he can get better (putting lots of emotion into it, because while they don't always get the English, they do pick up on how we feel)? I had one once who was smart enough to be able to pocket the pill and spit it out later - but who would take her a pill and swallow it very well if I explained how important it was to me that she take her medication and get well.
Good luck with pilling the kitty, Sean! Wear heavy gloves and possibly a flak jacket. Maybe a tranq dart?
Laura, your MiL does the same thing my friend's husband just did. Ended up with a colostomy bag because he wouldn't go to the doctor for two years with stomach pain. Why do people do that?? ~ma for dealing with it all.
IOmeN, I found the perfect casual skirt for today's outing, and miraculously it fit. I really need to go shopping, for real. I have nothing that doesn't go with jeans.
Thanks again for all the good thoughts.
Some good suggestions here on the cat pilling. I hope one of them works for you Sean.
{{ND}} I hope you got some healing rest.
I'm off to the hospital. She looked a bit better when we left last night. Her oxygen was doing better and she was just on the regular nose tubing thing. It was 63, which isn't so great. They put some umbrella thing in to keep clots from doing bad things. Really I got info 3rd hand so not so much in the know. But she saw me and said my name so I felt better. And it is about me, right?
Bobby has baseball so DH is at the park and I'll do a morning visit and switch with him later.
And where are the Jilli pictures?! And Pete, don't wait a long time on the glasses. Seeing right is a good thing.
Health~ma to ND.
Continued ~ma to your mother-in-law, Laura. I'm glad she is doing a bit better.
Well, it's partly about you. Around here especially. I'm glad things are looking a bit better. Word to your mother.
Awww...Laura, honey. ~ma and prayers coming from Boston. You take care of yourself too, ok.
Much ~ma heading to Laura, her MIL, and her entire family.
