Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yeah, totally. I didn't want to go out because I've been doing that a lot lately, and I have some work that I really wanted to do, but I forgot that the system is shut down for
t something technical I don't understand
until tomorrow, so...yeah. And I'm not in a fic reading mood, and I've read all my blogs.
Futless needs to get wider exposure, if only so I don't get so many stange looks when I complain of it.
Kathy, they have this new thing now called microwave popcorn - you don't have to talk yourself out of it!
But I'd have to go out and get some!
Also, this way, I can control how much salt, etc., goes on my popcorn. Of course, it's a big PITA to clean the oil out of the stockpot, but it's really yummy cooked that way.
futless - best word ever.
not futless today, too lethargic. my stomach/distive system is just off today. I think haveing to do with the strees of Matt's job stuff. I do very well in the supporto-gal role, then my body attacks me. Today I went to the cafe and walked home much napping and tv watching. Includeing
A Night at the Roxbury
which is so not my kind of movie. but I couldn't stop watching it. The bed now has clean fresh sheets and blankets - thinking about takeing the mini DVD player to bed. Esp. since I don't know when matt is going to be home He ran up north with Nic today. ( which is perfect when I am not really sick - and need more alone time then I do nursing) I just got a call from them - they have a flat tire at 9pm on a Saturday night. and yes , not a full size spare. I am out of it for sure, I forgot to ask him where they were.
that's all I have for entertainment
I am afraid of what is going on in Literary. Mostly because I have a lot more books than anyone has mentioned. as in 150 to be read books by my side of the bed. theere are only about 100 in this room. I'd guess about 400 in the guest room ,100 cookbooks, at least 1200 in the living room . 300- 400 to find other homes( ok , those I wouldn't catalogue) , probbably 100 scattered without homes - plus some other bags given to us.
I have no idea if I am under or overestimating our books.
Well, Lola, who started us on this whole LibraryThing kick in the first place, has over 2500 in her LT collection, so you'd be providing competition to her! Two years ago, I had 40% more titles that I purged before I moved. Being an apartment dweller who moves every five years or so means that the books don't have a chance to accumulate too much.
If I decide to go back to a bookstore for part-time employment next year, that total will increase exponentially!
I'm not sure I want to know how many I have. I t was disturbing to realize the book problem was, um..., well , mine. I was sure it was a shared problem. But 70 % of the books are mine.
Matt is 2 hours away - 2 hours with real tires, not a donut.
Can they go to Walmart or somewhere and get a tire, beth? You aren't supposed to drive more than 50 miles on a donut, I think.
I have no idea how many books I have. I'll find out when I'm done cataloging (no matter how I spell that, it looks wrong). It seems like a lot, but that's partially because I just don't have enough shelves.
OMG!!!
JILLI, where are you!? Have you seen this!? So tailor-made for you...and for lots of other tasty Bitches. DAY-um, I had some $$$ -- I'd be all over the Ex Libris stuff.
Oh, linky: Modern Alchemy collection
Oh, Plei, and other SPN sluuuts: there also something called "Tincture of Winchester" in this line. Hee.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BUFFY!!!
P.S. Getting insomnia on the night we "spring forward" and lose an hour is just wrong.
