Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm trying to decide whether I really need to do any work this morning. I'm thinking no. Or maybe yes, since I know I'm not going to be doing any this afternoon.

So sleepy. One should not have to wake up at 6 a.m. after not going to bed till midnight. How do people do this on a regular basis?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

With coffee, bitterness and recrimination?

I'm sleepy, too. This morning some dumb bird in the tree outside our bedroom decided 3 a.m. was the proper time for tweeting. The good news is that I'm off today at 1 p.m. and headed to Richmond to celebrate my mother's 73rd birthday (yesterday) and my sister's 43rd (monday). IOW, ice cream cake!

Works for me every time.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Makes sense. Every time I drink coffee, there is usually bitterness and recrimination.

Feh. Just caught up after much skipping and skimming, and now I have to leave for work. how is this fair?

Andi and I won the lottery yesterday.

$4.

...on a $3 investment.

Winnings take a while to accumulate at this rate.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

What kills is the fact that I make good money, and we've cut back on the non-essentials, but damnit, I hate not having a cushion. If we had it to do all over again, I think we may have waited another year before buying the house.

Yeah, I nod to all of this (except I'm not the one making decent money). I had a bit of a freakout about the dwindled savings earlier this week and I'm trying to save my panic and worry for when the situation actually warrants it (I'm not saying you are panicking and you should do the same, I'm just relating the end result of my particular recent issue).

And I go back and forth on should we have waited to get the house... a lot of times, I think yes. We should have saved for another year and gotten in on the declining sellers market, in a lot of ways. However, we were really ready to leave that apartment, I didn't want to have to move again when we bought, and I would have missed out on the house that is now our home and I love it lots and lots of good stuff has happened there. I keep trying to remind myself of that.

Morning, peeps! I am happy to report I did not 'splode in the night, although I did stop breathing and awoke coughing and gasping, which was not fun. But, I had a very nice dental cleaning today (as nice as they can be) where I was told that I didn't have much plaque or tartar, it didn't hurth that much, and I need no additional work at this time! This is very good news.

This is why I go to bed at 9. I fall asleep at 10 or so, but we start the wind down EARLY. Can't function otherwise. This is also why I have no time to do anything in the night time during the week. However! I did have dinner with EllenS last night right after work and that was fun times.

Our wings are not tired.

I need to go to bed at 9 or 10, but it doesn't happen. Last night it was after 11. Then up at 4:45 to bring my sister to the Miami airport by 6:00 for a 6:55 flight. It was already a zoo, but she made it on time. In summary, tired.

I could be a morning person if I could ever get to bed at a decent hour. It would be easier if the world would get busy a little later.
