I wish I'd had time to shop around or use ebay, but this phone is my only tie to the outside world, so I needed to buy one right away. Phooey.

Anyway. I did buy one I like. It's not as nice as the old one, but it has most of the functionality I've come to depend on (web, email, etc.). It's a Blackberry Pearl. Oo, and it's RED! (If I'd had the spare cash, I'd be really excited about having a new phone. This is purely financial angst.)

I happened to talk to Working Assets about their wireless service yesterday, and the guy on the phone said they have free phones and can buy people out of current contracts. I don't know what kind of phones they offer, but it might be a cheap alternative. I don't know if you get the free Ben and Jerry's like you used to with the long-distance service...

I got my current phone when the number 4 stopped working on my old one.

I wore a skirt to school today, and about five people commented that they'd never seen me wear anything but jeans. Perhaps I ought to try to vary my wardrobe a bit more.

On the other hand, though, jeans can be worn with thick socks. My feet are all covered with blisters and bandaids now from wearing shoes without socks. Stupid shoes.

This is purely financial angst.

The Pearls are actually very nice. I like my BlackBerry better than my Treo at this point, but it does take a bit of getting used to. I didn't know they came in red!

Kristin, I was drooling over looking at that phone yesterday! I'm waiting until August to upgrade my phone. I'm strongly leaning towards a nice smart phone. Let me know how you like it.

And thanks! My itchies are all gone. The rash is nearly gone--just a few spots left. It doesn't look like it will scar to badly, thank goodness.

ION, I watched this week's tape of The Riches. I can't quite figure out what rubbed me the wrong way about last week's episode, but it really didn't thrill me, Izzard-y goodness aside.

This week's? LOVED IT. Sweet Fancy Moses, I loved loved LOVED it. Which of course means it'll last 4 episodes and get cancelled.

I would go into detail as to what I loved, but the migrane is kicking back up, damn it all to hell, so I'm going to take handfuls of drugs and go lie down in a nice dark quiet room.

It's very odd. She's tried short cuts before but she really can't pull off short hair. It's just something about the shape of her face. It was really long in high school (down her back) but she keeps it straight and about shoulder length now and it looks very nice. I've had short hair since forever.
