[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Well, the vet didn't seem too concerned, but she wanted to run a full gamut of tests to be sure of what the problem was.

We're just...

Kitty is a little codependant, and I think we've maybe become a little codependant on kitty. So not having him here is making us sad.

Kitty wasn't particularly happy with being shut up in his cat carrier, dragged to a strange place, and then left in the care of strangers. I hope he's not too unhappy with us when he comes home.

Trust my rage

So, my dad was supposed to be arriving here about now. Only I just found out his flight was canceled. And he hasn't called. My brother canceled my parents' cell phones (long story) and fedex'd them new ones only they just arrived today. So my dad is somewhere between here and New Mexico and he hasn't called. I doubt he actually knows my number. He may have called my mom but she isn't home tonight and again, my brother canceled her cell. Good grief!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Best to the kitty, Sean. Sorry your place is feeling empty.

I always try to schedule returns so that I can pick up the Kittenish from the cattery on my way home. I hate this place without her.

I can totally pick up some for you.
Between Sean and DCJ, the race is on for Best Boyfriend.

Woe. Have given up the ubernifty race tickets in favor of merely really, really good tickets so my uncle can come too. Also reserved another hotel room cause dad won't share. Weird when I sent them the confirmation because my uncle has my old AOL email address. Yay races!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Nice tree, Hil. Looks well planted.

Hee. Thanks. I think this was the first time I've ever seen pistacio trees.

Those pics are adorable, Daisy.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

There was no vegging, but there was friendly visits to B and one from Kristin. I am making turkey chili for dinner and I cleaned the bathroom. Well, mostly.

DCJ and Sean are AWESOMEST boyfriends.

So sayeth The Empress.

Yay awesome people. Boo cancelled cellphones.

It's frightening how quickly we've become accustomed to EVERYONE having a cellphone, and how useless we become if it's broken or out of battery or accidentally left at home or whatever. Yeesh.

So *that's* a curly haired moppet!

Yes. Yes, he is. Looking at that little boy just makes me crazy happy.

Sean, I'm sorry you are missing your cat. I'm not sorry you did take him to the vet, though. Best wishes on the vet bills, and much quick recovery~ma to him.

Aimee, you have had a highly productive day. May your sleep tonight come swiftly and sweetly, nourishing your soul as well and healing your mind.

DCJ and Sean are AWESOMEST boyfriends.

High praise from a woman who knows quality men and has a supremely loving husband. Totally bodes well for S and me, no?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Stephanie, I hope your dad's gotten a hold of you. My dad carries around a small piece of paper in his wallet with everyone's phone numbers listed just in case. I always worry about something happening to him--he doesn't carry a cell phone.

Beau has a face by Botticelli

DCJ does rock. Andi I hope your feminine hygiene product woes end. Boo to stupid, non-informative packaging.

Sean, I hope the kitty's problems aren't serious.

We let Owen go feral in the back yard today. He's been fighting sleep all week (going to bed VERY late, getting up in the middle of the night AND waking very early). But after a few hours mucking about in the back yard (barefoot at times) and a hot bath to wash away the crusty mud, he went down like a ton of bricks promptly at 8 p.m.
